Very powerful drama, I'm impressed.

The story is well-known, much has been written and filmed about it, and the creators of Yellowjackets were inspired, but this film focuses not so much on survival as on its moral and psychological aspect, especially cannibalism to save lives. It's hard to look at these scenes, even though they're not explicit. I do not know how people's psyche was preserved there, I think that it was not very зберіг I read a little about the future life of the survivors, so one of them also ran for president of Uruguay, that is, everything is fine with them, at least in public.

The film was shot superovoj, separately I want to note the camerawork - as a visual, I am delighted, this atmosphere of snow-capped mountains and complete hopelessness is conveyed perfectly. And the scene when the helicopters arrived for the guys 😭 💔

Yes, the film is very cool, because you understand what a person is capable of and this is Wow.
Of course, if it was strangers and not a rugby team, everything would be completely different, because? We play sports and create communities 💪 🏼

Surprisingly, even though 17 people were still able to survive. For almost three months in the snow-capped mountains, in the wind and frost, lightly dressed, as in fact from warm Uruguay, in a couple of days it was possible for everyone to get around.

My first film is about the tragedy in the Andes.
The accident is shown in the first 20 minutes, wow. but a bit superhero-like. Accents on bright details, etc.
I won't review it, it's hard. And I advise you to look at it.

Very realistic shooting experience...just like a documentary ..it's true.. .but at the same time, such"shortcomings & # 34; as the complete absence of beards and mustaches in some, for example, who should grow 100% in 2 months, full suitcases of clothes, which for some reason they do not wear on themselves and on their heads in the cold and icy wind, do not burn suitcases or at least something in the beginning...and after the storm, the plane that reappeared on the surface, I didn't understand how...and yet the film about real events, still incredibly shot, is definitely worth watching

@Annadyakina: how did the plane get back on the surface? The films showed how. The guys then dug it up day after day, and at the end there was a thaw!

@AnastasiiaR: the plane looked implausible on a flat surface after the avalanche, it didn't look "dug up".... there was a long, flat plane all around him..as if nothing ever filled it up from above, it's not a"unearthed " plane in a certain"pit & # 34;.

@Annadyakina: well, plausible or not, it probably really was that they dug it up later...they showed it like this

the film's incredibly painful ending completes the story of the amazing rescue of 17 people.. people who will probably never be the same again as before the disaster...who, after being saved, ask philosophical questions and make the viewer do it.. this disaster is called a miracle in the Andes... After watching it, I have a desire to find out what happened to each of the survivors...read all about them...because it's like you've lived with them for those 2.5 months in crisis ..

It's very stupid to have a lighter , smoke cigarettes for three months instead of lighting a bonfire out of seats or clothes, I would also make a helmet out of suitcases for those who went to the mountains so as not to frostbite their face, in general, you can think of a lot of things when you sit there for so long. It is especially strange that in such an oak they sit or lie motionless, you can make a house out of snow too. People actually live in such conditions, but not with such clothes, but still. BUT! The only thing that stops me from condemning is that we now have so much information on survival thanks to the Internet and a bunch of movies and stories in free access. They certainly did not have such pleasure, and they, living in a warm country, of course had no idea what to do.

@stars33: no need to judge such things by the movie) It just wasn't shown in the movie. Read about this tragedy on the Internet. They burned at the stake everything that could be burned, in terms of garbage and other things that do not warm and do not help in survival.
Were they supposed to be running in the snow there, or what if they didn't sit and lie down? After how long would they have no strength left? Not to mention that the waste of energy needs to be restored with food, which they do not have. It doesn't matter that there is wind and snow outside, they, initially 27 people, are inside a cramped room, this is enough to more or less warm the air, not to a comfortable temperature, of course, but quite acceptable. The limbs will freeze, but this is tolerable, given that they have a lot of rags for shelter and they can rub them together as shown in the film.
Naturally, this does not mean that they did not suffer from the cold there, but the cold was clearly not their biggest problem, which confirms the fact that, if I am not mistaken, no one died of frostbite there.

To be honest, I had no idea about this disaster before this movie. I watched it in horror, realizing that it was filmed on real events. Very powerful, of course. An incredible story. How?? To crash, an avalanche, sub-zero temperatures, snow-soaked clothes that don't heat a damn thing, for more than two months in such conditions…Just... a shock. The scene when they met the helicopters 💔💔💔 cried with them.

This is the first film adaptation of the sensational tragedy in the Andes, which I watched. (To be honest, now I wanted to see the rest.)
Since I had heard before watching, but had not studied this topic deeply, I was shocked and amazed. Survive after a plane crash, after two avalanches, terrible weather conditions and last two months (!!!) - it's just unimaginable.
I heard that not everyone greeted the guys as "surviving heroes", but they were also strongly condemned for cannibalism on their part. (They should have been in such conditions themselves before judging, yeah.)
In my opinion, the film is worthy of a statue!

Absolutely frightening viewing from the first to the last second. I hate the cold and freezing in the cold. Here it's all on x10.

The terrible tragedy of the plane crash and the triumph of humanity over the frosty hell (brr, the author took cover with a warm blanket). I recommend it for viewing.

P.S. Uruguayan Adam Driver is top.

We have already written above, but there were also questions why in the early days, when there were still seals, not to spend them on a large-format designation cross so that the 66 aircraft that were looking for them could see it! Also, it was necessary to take off all the clothes from the corpses in the first days and put forward in this way what the guys overcame, well, there were questions about the bonfire too! Otherwise, the film is frighteningly beautiful! I feel sorry for everyone, and tears of joy when they were saved!

I always watch “behind the scenes” after watching a movie that made an impression, to watch this or that captured moment. I strongly advise you to watch behind the scenes of this film on YouTube from Netflix, where it turns out that all these guys are not actors, some of them only studied in the theater. That is, they are all ordinary people, because the director wanted them to get along and survive that tragedy together with the audience. And the fact that those skinny guys who were shown at the end, they lost weight specifically with the shooting.

And so p.s. I cried the whole movie.🥹

I was worried for the whole 2 hours. And then I looked at it too. I was already afraid to fly.

The film is nominated for the Best Foreign Film. If he doesn't get it, I'll pay for it.

What if there were survivors in other crashes? It's like it's scary to die.

I am amazed at how many comments (not only on this site) on the topic " and it was necessary to saddle like this ", " and why didn't they do it like this in the beginning or like this ", "but they didn't guess...", " but they are strange", etc. and so
on seriously?!
yes, I'm almost sure that all the "smart guys ", they themselves would not have lasted so long in those conditions!

The movie is good!
I also hope that he will receive an Oscar.;

I should have found out about the details of this incident a week before the viewing!
And expecting a disaster - it looked incredibly tense
And when they thought they had been noticed, and I was sitting there and I knew that they would still need to eat human flesh..
It's creepy! The cannibalism scenes themselves are done properly, they can cause disgust!
Well, the scene on the river is just incredible!
And when they write the names and ages of the dead, there are no words

A very strong film emotionally for those who are very sensitive to all kinds of scary scenes (in this case, I'm talking about cannibalism)
I didn't know anything at all about such a case in my life. The resilience of the survivors is surprising.

It's a very heavy film. I lived the whole story with the guys. It's really a miracle that the guys managed to reach the border.

By the way, who first learned about this tragedy- I advise you to watch the TV series Hornets. The plot is based on this story
