it's a bit messy compared to the book. It's a pity that some (important in my opinion) characters were omitted. but I liked the atmosphere!

I watched it right after reading the book and was very disappointed. I understand that this is a feature film, and of course it rarely happens when almost all the events from the book go linearly. But to get everything mixed up, crumpled up, and the most important characters and details were removed, it really upset me. The most important thing in film adaptations is to convey the meaning and essence of the work. In this film adaptation, the content was completely reworked and the meaning was completely lost from the word. But even if you decide to change or remove the meaning, then you need to adhere to the logical sequence. I was watching a movie with my husband and he didn't understand why something was being said or done. It turned out to be an incomprehensible story about a frivolous girl and a whiny orphan... the film is boring, but the book has a very deep social connotation. I advise everyone to read the book and I advise no one to watch the movie.
