unfortunately, the film is already old, many of the effects are outdated, and the music annoyed me more than it set up the right atmosphere. nevertheless, the film is quite watchable even now, although it does not cause delight

I watched the original 1977 Suspiria. The film was on the notice even before I even found out about the existence of such a genre as jallo, then my colleague in the gaming public advised me for a long time and persistently, then a remake came out, and the original began to be remembered even more often, write articles about it and shove it into all sorts of tops. And finally, I got to it and, I must say, the film met all my expectations! The plot is not bad and mysterious, the intrigue, what is going on there at all, lasts almost to the end. The heroine is charming. Not to say that this is my type, but the image, movements and huge frightened eyes are captivating. The acting is generally at a very decent level. But the most important thing is: what a crazy visual there is for its age! The selection of colors, working with light, decorations, the choice of locations for filming – everything is at the highest level. Well, the Goblin soundtrack is traditionally incomparable (a combination of beautiful but ominous music, whispers, moans, sighs and the most varied noises – something devilishly attractive and terribly oppressive came out!) Just an audio-visual orgasm lasting one and a half + hours. I only let down the finale, the denouement seemed to me somewhat fleeting. In general, it is an extremely original and charming thing, strong 9/10, as for me.

The only problem with dubbing is. I wanted to enjoy the visual, and therefore it was not comme il faut to stare at the subtitles. I downloaded the movie with as many as a dozen Russian soundtracks, and most of them turned out to be voiced by some Vasyans on sneakers. And in the only normal one, the music and effects are completely muffled in places. As a result, I spat and looked at English from time to time, glancing at the subs (by the way, the English dubbing is good there, the voice of the main character is very pleasant, I even got more than the original actress).

P.S.: It can be argued for a long time that the film industry is not degrading, writing off " it used to be better" for old-fashioned and nostalgia. But I can't imagine such a movie being shot today.
