The Thing (1982)

The film itself is very interesting and intense. The alien thing looks impressive, especially when you realize that it's not graphics. Unfortunately, the logic of the heroes is lame in some places.

The ending is illogical. Macready said that we should burn everything here so that this creature doesn't freeze, and in the end, when he met with Charles, he said that the test wouldn't change anything. Charles may well be an imitation, freeze, and everything will start over sooner or later. Why not take a test or, in the end, just burn each other, since you're going to die anyway?

I love it, it's full of holes. My little son, at the age of 5, saw a piece where spider legs grow out of his head and it crawls away. The child was impressed and asked about this head for a long time.
And recently I asked - what kind of movie was it, mom, where the SPIDER-HEAD was crawling))) this despite the fact that he is already 9.

While I was watching, I kept waiting for the coolest and most interesting thing to begin, for which this film was praised and recognized as a cult. I did not wait.))) There were some revivals of the plot, but mostly everything dragged on sluggishly, tediously and chaotically. By the end, the director was completely lost in time, space and the logic of what was happening.

I can't say that I really liked the movie, but it was definitely worth watching. The Thing itself looked great, especially for 1982. You look at it and it gets a little uncomfortable, the thing is really creepy. Well, in general, the story that the monster can take any organic form at all is very cool, you can easily create tension like that. But the main thing is not to build greatly inflated expectations about this film, because there is something to get to the bottom of if there is a desire.

It's a very interesting movie, I really like it) Not only is there a movie itself, but they also made a game about this movie - an online game. I played this game, it's atmospheric, and scary, and fun to play with people)

I've never seen an outdated movie: I often review it (I rewind the scene with the dogs, because it's a pity), I hope that the director will still make a sequel, there seem to be such rumors

An extremely underrated horror movie at the time. They released the game and the homage series in the X-Files based on it, and the title minimalistic theme is really annoying (in a good way).

An iconic fantasy horror film by John Carpenter and undoubtedly one of his best works. The thickest disturbing atmosphere, stunning special effects and great musical accompaniment.
