Description
Francis, a young man, recalls in his memory the horrible experiences he and his fiancée Jane recently went through. Francis and his friend Alan visit The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, an exhibit where the mysterious doctor shows the somnambulist Cesare, and awakens him for some moments from his death-like sleep.
I can't decide if the film passes the test of time. The plot surprised me personally, because it is customary to see something like this in modern cinema (unexpected twists, open endings, etc.). However, I can understand a modern viewer who gets bored watching.
I want to mention the music separately: I don't know if there was musical accompaniment in the original, but VERY atmospheric music was played at my session.
It's worth watching at least for the sake of exploring horror classics.
