Improv comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm" will end after its 12th season
Larry David's series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is coming to an end: the upcoming 12th season will be the last for the comedy project. It will premiere on February 4 on HBO, with the final tenth episode airing on April 7.
"As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character,” David said on Thursday, confirming the final season. And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed", — said creator and lead actor Larry David.
The series, based on David's life, is about the now-almost-retired screenwriter and producer, creator of "Seinfeld". Dialogues in the project are improvised, and Larry David himself writes only the basic idea of what will happen in each particular scene.
The series began to be released in 2000 and managed to be loved by critics and viewers. In eleven seasons, the show has received 51 Emmy Award nominations, including ten nominations in the Best Comedy Series category, as well as five Golden Globe nominations.
