The sci-fi series "Beacon 23" will get a second season
MGM+ service has renewed the science fiction series "Beacon 23" for a second season. The main roles in the show are played by Lena Headey from "Game of Thrones" and Stephan James from "Race".
The project was originally developed for Spectrum Originals, and the second season was to be released on AMC, so the creators filmed both seasons one after another. Now the second part is in the final stages of production, and it will premiere next year on Apple TV+.
The action of the series develops in the XXIII century. The show is about Halan, a lighthouse keeper at the edge of the universe who helps spaceships safely pass by. One day a girl named Aster mysteriously gets to him, and Halan can't figure out what her intentions are.
The creator and executive producer of the project is Zak Penn — screenwriter of the movie "Free Guy". In the second season, the inhabitants of Beacon 23 will have to rely on each other, but they may be hindered by their divergent plans.
