Description
After spending all of her 15 years bouncing from one foster family to another in Portland, Oregon, Lux has decided it's time to take control of her life and become an emancipated minor. Her journey through the legal system leads Lux to her biological parents, local radio personality Cate Cassidy and thirty-something Nate "Baze" Bazile, who had a one-night stand back in high school. Although they haven't seen each other in 15 years, it doesn't take Cate and Baze long to fall into the same contentious relationship they had as teenagers. However, when a judge decides that Lux isn't ready for emancipation and unexpectedly grants temporary joint custody to Baze and Cate, they agree to try to get past the arguments and awkwardness and make a belated attempt to give Lux the family she deserves. The cast also Math, Baze's childhood friend and current roommate, and Ryan Thomas, Cate's fiancé and co-host on K100.
It's a pity that Kate can't have children. Such a difficult moment. Baze's speech at his father's party impressed him. I said it right. The series and the series ended very unexpectedly. Kate's words to Ryan: "We need to talk," and then the abrupt transition to events two years later. The endgame (endgame) pairs were also surprised. I didn't understand what was the point of bringing Lux and Jones together if Tasha's couple spent almost the entire second season+Jones had already become a canon and I really liked her. This step of the screenwriters is not clear to me. As for Kate and Baze, I was pleasantly surprised that they were made endgame. Of course, throughout the series I sympathized with Ryan, but there were a lot of hints about Kate and Baze. And most people like this pair. In general, I'm almost happy with the endgame pairs. But love is not the most important thing. What I liked the most at the end of the series was that Lux called Kate and Baze mom and dad. I've been waiting for this all series since the very first episode. Therefore, I consider this finally accomplished moment to be truly amazing.
Although from the very beginning there was a premonition that Kate would be brought together with Baze, I was a little disappointed with the ending, because, firstly, I would have liked Kate to be with Ryan more, and secondly, there was hope for this until the very end.
I immediately liked Jones and wanted Lux to be with him. But considering how long Lux had been friends with him, it would be better to leave him at the end with Tasha than to force him for a long and humiliating time when Lux would condescend to him.
My rating is 5/5, maybe I'll even review this wonderful series in a few years.
P.S. The only thing I'm very upset about is that my otp was destroyed a series before the finale.
Seriously, I'm going back to the orphanage. You can't be parents, you need them yourself!
Being a parent is primarily about thinking about the child.
I hate when I hear something that kills me inside, but I have to act like everything is fine.
