The first scene, especially for 2003, is unrealistic, but then the plot itself looks like a piece was torn out of a full-length film.

The last two Terminator films (Genesis and Dark Fates) are nervously smoking.
Here you can feel the fear and inevitability of defeat, in 11 minutes they showed how terrible the consequences of the war with robots are.

When I was watching, the thought arose that impressionable teenagers could throw themselves off the roof to get out of the matrix.
