MORPHEUS: For a long time I couldn't believe it. But I saw these fields with my own eyes. I've seen them recycle dead bodies to feed the living intravenously.…
NEO (politely): I'm sorry, please.
MORPHEUS: Yes, Neo?
NEO: I've been trying to hold back for a long time, but I think it's necessary to speak out about this. The human body is the most inefficient source of energy you can think of. The efficiency of a thermal power plant decreases when the turbines operate at low temperatures. Any food suitable for humans is much more effective to burn in a furnace. And now you're saying that the bodies of the dead are used to feed the living. Have you ever heard of the laws of thermodynamics?
MORPHEUS: Where did you hear about the laws of thermodynamics, Neo?
NEO: Anyone who studied physics at school knows about the laws of thermodynamics!
MORPHEUS: Where did you go to school, Neo?
(Pause)
NEO: ...In the Matrix.
MORPHEUS: The machines have come up with an elegant lie.
(Pause)
NEO (timidly): Can I get a textbook on real physics somewhere?
MORPHEUS: There is no such thing, Neo. The universe does not obey mathematical laws.

@Al1sa: not bad. I decided for myself that they count in public. As in Hipperion

The last two Terminator films (Genesis and Dark Fates) are nervously smoking.
Here you can feel the fear and inevitability of defeat, in 11 minutes they showed how terrible the consequences of the war with robots are.

So why didn't the closing of the sun stop the cars? Was the energy reserve enough to bring the war to an end? And why didn't the machines prevent the sky from closing?
