Description
Anne with an "E" is a coming-of-age story about an outsider who, against all odds and numerous challenges, fights for love and acceptance and for her place in the world. The series centers on a young orphaned girl in the late 1890's, who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, is mistakenly sent to live with an elderly spinster and her aging brother. Over time, 13-year-old Anne will transform their lives and eventually the small town in which they live with her unique spirit, fierce intellect and brilliant imagination.
It seems to me that while Anne is talking about the kinship of souls and the essence of marriage, Gilbert is already stupidly coming up with names for their future children. The guy clearly knows what he wants.
I can't get away from this series anymore. I want to cry all the time, mostly out of joy. It should be prescribed to people for therapeutic purposes. I have never seen anything so pure, strong and beautiful on television.
The expression on the teacher's face when he said: "Sweet merciful Lord" is similar to how all teachers feel when students do something wrong :D
The scene at the end, when Anne and Marilla were hugging, is so touching. Wonderful actors were picked up.
