Mulder is acting like a 12-year-old hysterical girl. I have already seen 2 times that Samantha is with THEM (clones were not made out of thin air). And then they immediately look at this lanky guy.
@KuzinXY: "They" have only clones of Samantha. As well as a collection of DNA from the entire population. It was possible to think that the clones were grown from Samantha's genetic material, taken regardless of her abduction
@baldarek: I probably didn't understand either, because last season (s3e2) there was a scene where he ran home to his mother like a scalded man, woke her up and asked if his father had asked her who she loved more. To which she replied that he chose whom to give himself, for which she hates him even after his death. If he had just taken her away to "take tests", this would clearly not have happened. I guess she's been gone ever since. Therefore, I do not understand the whole plot with my sister in this series at all.
Honestly, one of the best episodes. Mulder is so real here, full of doubts, confused, terribly insecure. He no longer knows who to trust - himself or people. But in the end, he still remains true to his ideas. Great. Just fine. :Oh
The day before yesterday I watched Alice in Wonderland. I went to see Alice through the Looking Glass yesterday. And today I decided to continue the fourth season with this particular episode. A coincidence? I don't think so.
And I just had to rewind back to Mulder's dream to take a closer look at Samantha's dress.
A first-person shot of Mulder walking between trolleybuses. One of the most beautiful moments I've ever seen on screen. http://s019.radikal.ru/i643/1605/4f/32b638bf8d95.jpg
It has always been one of my favorite episodes. However, when I sat down to review it, I thought that something would be explained in the end. They didn't explain anything, but the series is still amazing. The best Mulder.
Everything is great, of course, but where did Mulder hit the pedophile in the trolleybus??? It seems that in the face or neck, but in the next frame after the shot and the scream of the frightened girl, the pedophile's face is clearly visible without bullet marks...and you can also see the hole in the glass, just at head level... It is not clear(
@sovalicahara: I think it was because of censorship on television that they had to remove , well, or a movie clip, they could somehow cover up the graphics, it's unclear
On the other hand, it's great that it's the middle of season 4, and the creators didn't even try to play the card with love and relationships. Well, it's clear that they love each other, but these are somewhat higher feelings than those that are usually shown on screens)
I'm sorry, but Mulder pissed me off in this episode. Of course, I understand that emotions take over, but how could you take this pedophile alone and take him to who knows where, especially since you have such a partner who will follow you to the ends of the world (literally). At least leave her a message where you're going. As a result, this asshole quickly died, instead of rotting in prison for many more years.
@id17723995: and Mulder generally behaves quite often in relation to Scully like the last beast, and the further it gets, the more it is seen and very often completely disregards her and leaves her to deal with all the problems alone. It's not the first time I've watched the series, and as time has passed, I have a completely different perception of Mulder, and far from positive, but these constant quirks of his about Samantha (either aliens abducted, then a maniac killed, then a couple more left-wing versions will appear) have already been specifically annoying. If I were Dana, after season 5, I would send him far and away with his department for a long time.
Good afternoon, everyone! For 10 years now, I've been thinking/guessing (when I remember this episode) — who owned the 16th heart: Mulder's sister Samantha, the unknown victim, or did Roche make the 16-heart just to ‘play’ with Mulder, and there was no victim?
Thank you in advance for the answers! Yours sincerely!
definitely not Samantha - the drawing on it does not match what is on her shirt in this episode and in the episode where this scene was shown for the first time.
I lost it myself, and I found it myself. This pedophile could have killed Mulder in his sleep, but apparently he decided that Mulder would suffer more from his guilt.
Mulder is just a fool, he knows that his sister was abducted by aliens, for 3 seasons he is looking for her like a madman from aliens, and then suddenly switched to a maniac who divorced him like a kid. I got him out of prison, let him escape, let him kidnap a girl, and then I killed him in front of the girl! And he deprived someone of the opportunity to find out the fate of a missing child - some parents will never find out where their child is. It's very irresponsible and stupid and not professional.
Why wasn't Mulder fired after such an act? I missed a maniac, put a little girl's life in danger, such an injury. Is this something that can be put on the brakes? And Muller, of course, was emotional, but he didn't behave like a professional at all.
@Jammm: as for me, Mulder generally behaves more than unprofessionally for most of the series. He very often uses personal feelings in business, ignoring professionalism and ethics.
Mulder and his actions are infuriating in this episode How did they release a serial killer under the supervision of just one person, even without notifying the police and special services in advance about his plan of action? But it happens here, especially with gg
The series is very interesting, but it ruined the impression.
Vince Gilligan, El Camino... It's interesting to trace the appearance of the same elements in creativity... creators (sorry for the tautology) through the years =3
Fuck the criminals in America! Killed 16 girls! Girls, little ones!!!! He's sitting on a chair, rocking, playing basketball... hmm... the "great" country of democracy.
@Orthodont: This is some kind of exemplary prison :) Remember the episode where a death row convict left a list of whom he wants to take revenge on. It feels completely different there

47And it is very frightening because abductions by maniacs are much more common than UFO abductions.

After all, Tom Noonan played the maniac perfectly, just creepy and calculating. In "Last Action Hero" with Schwartz, he played the Ripper.
