I don't like that they decided to whitewash Wei Ying here. After all, in the novel, all these deaths are just on his conscience. Yes, the plan of the main local spider was in some way a push, a weak one, but it was Wei Ying who was too self-confident, which let him down in the end.
But what makes me very happy is that the deaths of Yanli and Zixuan were still given enough time and made them quite important and tragic. Otherwise, after Wen Ning's death was so poorly shown, doubts crept in.
