Description
As the grandmaster who founded the Demonic Sect, Wei Wuxian roamed the world in his wanton ways, hated by millions for the chaos he created. In the end, he was backstabbed by his dearest shidi and killed by powerful clans that combined to overpower him. He incarnates into the body of a lunatic who was abandoned by his clan and is later, unwillingly, taken away by a famous cultivator among the clans—Lan Wangji, his archenemy. This marks the start of a thrilling yet hilarious journey of attacking monsters, solving mysteries, and raising children. From the mutual flirtation along the way, Wei Wuxian slowly realizes that Lan Wangji, a seemingly haughty and indifferent poker-face, holds more feelings for Wei Wuxian than he is letting on.
It was high time to put the slave in her place
Although the mother caused rejection due to constant scandals, it was nice to see a taco plot twist
An overbearing woman from a noble family will never allow her clan to be insulted
It's been a long time since I've seen such dynamic action scenes anywhere, I think this is the highlight of the series. Each one captures attention from the first frames and does not let go until it is over.
Incredibly beautiful soundtracks, almost all using only folk instruments. The appearance of the characters is perfectly worked out - the same La Wang Ji in different time intervals is drawn at different ages, and it is clear that this is a different time period for the same character. The backgrounds, mountains, buildings (except for too thick water) look very cool.
But there are no disadvantages, and perhaps the most offensive is the characters. They are all exactly the same and are not undergoing any development. There is a main villain, a villain because he is embittered and wants power. There is a main character who prefers to put on a frivolous appearance, deep down he is sensitive and empathetic, and at the same time, under no circumstances is he going to give up. There is La Wang Ji, an aristocrat to the core, manners come first, which is why all manifestations of emotions come out awkward and touching. The same can be written about the rest, and all this becomes clear after the very first scenes in which the characters participate, and does not change throughout the series. The only exception is the female head of the destroyed clan, she was still able to be shown in several roles.
And yes, Chinese names both sound unusual and are remembered with great difficulty)
