Perhaps everything is EXCELLENT: from the actors, the plot, the intrigue to the sound, the accents of the characters and a rather sharp humor. and also, one of the few TV shows in which the characters, how should I put it, are not cardboard. they are all real and alive! Here's a nasty woman who smokes and behaves suspiciously. here is a grandfather who is kind of suspicious, although he looks normal. here is the main detective, who is clearly torn apart from the inside, which gives him a "shabby" look.. I can't describe it, but each character evokes a ton of emotions from pity to hatred. that's really not something you'll find anywhere.

and Olafur Arnalds is just a master piece! listen to the rest of his work - you will be amazed.

Interestingly, at one time David Tennant (Detective Alec Hardy) and Arthur Darvill (Priest Paul) played in the series "Doctor Who". Tennant as the 10th Doctor, and Darvill as Rory Williams, one of the Doctor's companions.
However, their characters did not meet on the screen, missing each other by just a few episodes.

You worry about the characters, their emotions are perfectly conveyed, gloomy and painful moods, sometimes turning into despair. It's a little too long. In general, it is far from a joyful series. Although it is very high-quality.

English actors (and not only English ones) have their own unique charm. Unlike their polished Hollywood colleagues, these look more simple and human, alive or something.
Tennant is great as always.
And it is also worth noting how successfully the amazing, viscous atmosphere of melancholy was conveyed in the series.

The plot with a murder in a small town, which will later reveal the secrets of its inhabitants, is, of course, banal, but I feel that this series has its own atmosphere, favorably distinguishing it from its fellow genre.

The actors in the original sound completely different. Tennant's Scottish accent alone is worth something. Be sure to watch with subtitles if you don't speak English.

Еще тут актер из Игры престолов есть.
Странно, что раньше я вообще не слышала об этом сериале, рейтинг у него хороший. Сюжет обычный на первый взгляд, пилотная серия интригует, актеры хорошо отыгрывает и это подкупает и заставляет смотреть дальше.
