What is the ending, wow!!A relaxed unhurried story about American Bohemia, about gorgeous stormy parties and skeletons in everyone's closet, not without tragedy ... oh, what a nasty uncle this Capote was, Tom Hollander played this character one hundred percent! And the swans were, though not without sin, but fatal women!
Актёры шикарны, снято красиво, но сезон разочаровал. Уверен, если бы его делали сами под руководством Мёрфи, Фалчука и Бренана вышло бы в 100 раз круче. Но, увы.
The first episode is interesting, and then it's like you're watching the same thing (Alas, nothing to do with the gorgeous first season. As such, there is no enmity: one did something nasty, others were offended, then everyone suffered. That's all (The story of the film, no more
This season, the feud is so deliciously served, seasoned with bright types, aesthetically honed, unhurried and so large-scale. Truman, who was in my understanding after Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Truman, are shown in a Feud - just heaven and hell. And of course Jessica's cameo is a delight.
Of course, this season was not even close to the first, but I'm still glad that I watched it, I didn't leave it halfway, although I wanted to sleep terribly while I was watching. The final episode turned out to be good, they summed it up, gave a verdict on all the swans and Truman himself. Thank you at least for the beautiful picture and the gorgeous cast
As for me, the season had great potential. Just look at the cast: Tom Hollander, Demi Moore, Naomi Watts and the legendary Jessica Lang (albeit, for the most part, as cameos). Ryan Murphy, who brilliantly directed the first season, is at the helm as a producer. The story is potentially interesting. But, alas, it did not work out. I won't say that it was really bad, but a lot of things didn't work out. I don't like this phrase, but the first season was really much better, it was just filigree in drama. Here, firstly, in my opinion, jumping along the timeline was in the way. Perhaps if the story were linear, even leaving all the scenes as they are, it would look better. Secondly, I just lacked the element of hostility. Last season, sparks flew throughout almost all the episodes, and the ending worked as it should. And the story of Capote against the Swans could be shown, if not in the same way, then at least close to it. There were many self-replays and scenes that in no way reveal either the elements of enmity or the characters of the main characters. The final episode turned out to be pretty good by the way, but again it does not compare with season 1. In general, I think it doesn't make sense to compare them)
It's kind of sad stuff, not the season. Truman has been disgusting all season, a vile leech with a huge ego who represents nothing of himself. His "swans" are exactly the same, they stood by each other 100% and no one causes sympathy.
I don't know what everyone is unhappy about, the first season seemed to me the same measured, there weren't too many events there, as here. cool cast, good story, hooked, everyone is unhappy, and everyone is sorry
Interestingly, everyone writes about the star cast, but no one has written about the fact that the legendary Gus Van Sant shot the WHOLE season. Thanks to him for this measured but beautiful journey into the world of Truman!
Tom Hollander deserves all the awards.
