sometimes I feel so sorry for Merlin, the whole future of Camelot is on his shoulders, and the next choice is just his choice, with taking all the consequences on himself
It is amazing that the guards who passed 2 seconds ago did not hear the sound of Morgana's running heels behind her, and then the creaking door opening into a room with some important stones/crystals, given the echo in these places
@hamstereno: That's it. And this is also the feature of almost all TV series and movies. When the one who escapes comes out from around the corner at exactly the moment when those who are looking for him now approach this very corner.
God, there's so much dust and cobwebs in this vault, it's like no one has been in there for several centuries, I'm surprised that the theft of the crystal was noticed so quickly
I couldn't help but remember Dragon Age, which I recently played in. Oppressing magicians is more expensive for yourself x)
There are two points that amused me in the series: 1) How easily Morgan drove from the castle somewhere to the bandits, and no one cared about her, despite the fact that Merlin also knew about the possibility of her escaping there and did not figure out how to stop her. However, Merlin cannot carry everything on himself... 2) How simply Alvar glued Morgan together. And it was also very saddening, because damn, Morgana feels so lonely that she grabs the first outstretched hand:(
So far, I perfectly understand all of Morgana's actions and do not see any illogicalities in her behavior. Let's see what happens next. I still don't like the theme of fatalism, destiny and all that, but there's no way in Merlin without it. Gaius said beautiful words, they say, Merlin, you create the future yourself, and some crystal cannot predict it for you, this is all just one reality, but, alas, the fact is: Camelot will burn, Merlin will suffer, and this is inevitable, the crystal did not lie. It just hurts me to realize that everything is going to what the Dragon said and the crystal showed, and even though Merlin seems to be making his fate, fate is beating him... It's sad, in general.
The dragon said an interesting thing: "Morgana and Mordred will be in an alliance, united by evil," or something like that. But what is evil in his understanding? Drakosha offered to kill Mordred as a child, so as not to worry - wasn't it evil to punish for crimes that were still imperfect? And if we blindly trust fate and believe in destiny, will the lesser evil be less villainous? There is something to think about.
And I feel sorry for Merlin. I haven't watched the series for a long time, I returned to watching it to relax my soul, and it hurts me to watch this wonderful guy spinning like a squirrel in a wheel. Arthur constantly pushes around (yes, he has the right) and gives slaps on the back of the head, Mordred throws a deadly insult, the Dragon wants to hang out free and drips on his nerves, and at the same time it is urgently necessary to decide how to prevent a villainous alliance and whether to prevent it at all, because the life of his close friend Arthur is at stake. The fate of Arthur and all of Camelot is on his shoulders. How does Merlin stand it at all? x__x
I don't understand why the dragon started to interfere with the release, maybe I'm confusing something, but didn't they agree that Merlin would release him when Uther's reign ended?
How could Arthur fall for Morgana's trick if there was already a case when she was hiding Mordred? And anyway, why didn't Merlin at least hint to Arthur about Morgan, he didn't wipe it off, and he won't blow his head off.

Well, yes, well, yes, the slaughtered guards and peasants on the side.
