Mr. Burns hits Bart with a car. While in a coma, Bart visits both heaven and hell. After consulting with lawyer Lionel Hates, Homer and Marge file a lawsuit against Burns for compensation in the amount of one million dollars. Burns agrees to $500,000, but when he finds out that Bart has been faking it all this time, he doesn't give the Simpsons a cent.
