She tells about 1974, when Homer was a simple high school student, and Marge was a budding feminist. Homer falls in love with Marge and tries to get closer to her by asking her to help him with French. After long hours of classes, Homer begins to like Marge. However, when Homer said that he was not studying French at all, but only said this in order to make a date with her, Marge takes offense at him and refuses to meet Homer. Instead, she set up a date with Artie Ziff, a boring member of the board that Marge was on. After a terrible date, Marge realizes that Homer is what she needs.
