Description
Every second of every day, from the moment he was born, for the last thirty years, Truman Burbank has been the unwitting star of the longest running, most popular documentary-soap opera in history. The picture-perfect town of Seahaven that he calls home is actually a gigantic soundstage. Truman's friends and family - everyone he meets, in fact - are actors. He lives every moment under the unblinking gaze of thousands of hidden TV cameras.
But for some reason, he's not in the cast of this May-show movie.
One of the best roles of Jim Carrey! I recommend everyone to watch it!
And then I saw the Truman Show. After this film, all his other roles fade and now, when I hear the name of Jim Carrey, the first thing that pops into my head is this movie. It's just a masterpiece work of the entire film crew. And Jim Carrey is just a god here!
and in the end it is perfectly clear that people (the audience) did not understand anything, did not learn anything. they were happy at the end, but not for Truman and the fact that he was able to become free, but for the fact that the show turned out to be interesting: there was a good climax and denouement. It became crystal clear when the cops finally said, "Well, what's the next thing to see?"
I remembered that it seems (I may be wrong) Jesse in the movie "Before Dawn" told Celine a similar idea when they were still on the train.
I saw Jim Carrey here from a completely different angle.
If you think about it, a lot of people live in a show like this
I liked how slowly the film made me feel and understand Truman. Especially given that many people sometimes think that they live in some kind of fictional world that revolves around some kind of GG.
I was hooked by the open ending where, before entering the door, he voiced a favorite phrase to the public "Good morning! And in case I don't see you anymore - good afternoon, good evening and good night!"
