Overview
Five years after surviving Art the Clown's Halloween massacre, Sienna and Jonathan are still struggling to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. But just when they think they're safe, Art returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.

By the way, there was a little hint of who Art was before he became like this. In the house, Art and Victoria killed two men who were preparing the building for demolition. In conversation, they mentioned rumors about the former owner of the house. Allegedly, a maniac lived here who preyed on children and kept their bodies in the basement. For sure, it was Art. Perhaps one of Art's victims was the mute ghost girl from the second part, who took Art's head at the end. Although it is difficult to understand why the girl became like Art and why the demon possessed her? After all, those who have committed evil can become a vessel. Probably, the girl did something bad under the influence of Art before she died. And since the girl was a ghost, the demon could not take any active action. That is, the girl could not be a full-fledged vessel, but only a spirit.
A photo of just that ghost girl. This is a newspaper clipping that Jonathan showed to his sister Sienna (in the second part).
It is clear that they were given more money, because the character began to gain popularity, the quality became higher, and at the same time they retained their original style 🖤🤍
Splatter is not my favorite genre. And that's why I wasn't particularly pleased. I made a mistake here myself.
Nevertheless, all the fans should really like it. He's not scary, in some moments it was even funny. Certain scenes were able to surprise a lot (how could you have thought of THAT??)
I recommend it all the same, if you watch it, then at Christmas. Atmospheric.
Of the advantages:
Art is an incomparable game and a lot of humor)
Gorgeous bloody murders)
Full ultravailance on the screen, as I understood that in the USA the film was not even given a rating, or what?)
In the third part, they do not hesitate even to kill young children, this is a new level)
Participation on the screen of the greatest makeup artist Tom Savini)
The participation of the wonderful actor Clint Howard)
Music and color are also on the level)
Faded from the masturbation scene with a piece of a broken mirror, a separate like)))
Well, references to old horror movies - noticed the glow and psycho, was there anything else?)
Of the cons:
Well, it's true that some empty scenes are delayed, and it was possible to shorten the film by 15 minutes without losing absolutely nothing ...
They did not show the murder of their brother. Maybe alive (no body, no case)))
The scene in the shower is gorgeous, but damn - the girl was gutted, but the boobs were not shown)))
In general, the film is 10/10. A lot of moral, aesthetic and entertaining pleasure)
I'm waiting for the 4th part 🔥
Another advantage is the reference to the first short meter of the 9th circle.
And of the cons - there is no scene after the credits) I love them
Art passed in a frenzy. It's like he has less screen time and less opportunity to fool around. If in the sequel I laughed literally from every appearance, then here it's just three scenes – drinking with Santa, giving gifts to kids and an episode in the dorm. Here was the good old Art, who laughs heartily at his own bloody deeds. Everything else seems to be without the usual courage.
Of course, there are no complaints about the actor. David Howard Thornton is still good. I get a dose of buzz just from the way he's enjoying his role.
Victoria... She seemed a little superfluous. Why is she even here? Art does a great job alone, he doesn't need any help.
Although I liked the episode with the mirror. With smashing his head, and not with sticking the shard in all sorts of places. I can watch anything, but there's a limit too.
Sienna suddenly liked it. In the last movie, she just wasn't annoying, but here I was interested in following her. And I even wonder what will happen to her next, whether she will cope with all the shit that has fallen.
I liked how Sienna is trying to cope with PTSD. All those smiles, jokes, attempts to pretend that everything is fine and everything is fine. It seems to be shown as standard, many films do this... but it still got me hooked. To be honest, for some reason it seems to me that for the director, the character of Sienna is particularly important and through her he is trying to work out some of his injuries. Well, there's something personal about Sienna's story.
Death scenes are my homage. When you think that you've already seen everything, and then the Art is like this "look what I'll show you ". Although he used to like various installations more. Now there is either no time, or laziness, or a creative crisis. But I appreciated the tree, well done.
And suddenly, but I feel sorry for Jonathan. I didn't expect that they would decide to take the guy out of the plot. It's a pity, really. That's just trying to take unexpected turns looks pretty awkward. After all, there was no prerequisite for his death.
At first glance, it seems to be normal. Less tightness, less fumes, a little more integrity. It has the right to exist.
In general, the entire trilogy should be reviewed. I wonder how it will be.
Maybe it was too black, but the crucified blond man without a head with a painted smiley face and a Christmas tree smiled. And the audience also laughed at Sienna's head.
I can understand Jonathan in some ways. After the experience of the cunt, both broke down, and both are trying to cope in their own way. Jonathan apparently wants to distance himself from what happened, while unwittingly blaming his sister (after all, Art is fixated on her). It is clear that the film will not go into deep psychological wilds, but I see it like this.
I liked their relationship in the last movie, and I hoped that this part would continue in the same spirit. I understand and accept the chill between them, but I also waited for reconciliation in the end, unification. Instead, the guy was replaced by Gaby. I managed to get used to him, even to love him a little. Gaby's the same...Well, it's just there for now. And she, apparently, will be the main motivation for Sienna in the sequel. That's why I'm offended. Instead of developing the already existing brother-sister relationship, the director simply replaced them with new ones.
I had high expectations, because in the media space everyone was saying, "this is just a shock, many people threw up, a terrible movie!")). I've been watching horror movies for a long time, and this one didn't seem scary to me.
Yes, it's a complete mess for two hours, but that's what starts to get boring after an hour. The clown is creepy, but ridiculous in its own way).
I want to mention the sounds, they are really frightening and realistic. Also, I will note the background music, which also added gloominess)
In general, I would have a 1/10 chance to survive in this movie :). In the supermarket, where he pretended to be Santa when he was still fooling around with the guard, I would have 100% laughed. And so, it seems to me that I wouldn't go anywhere near him)
There were rumors that advertising was extremely ugly in the West. They say that potential viewers were sent invitations to the cinema, without saying a word about which movie they were going to. They just pointed out, they say, a holiday movie. Many, for obvious reasons, counted on the family rating. Now imagine how the audience felt when they saw the detailed dismemberment on the big screen. Of course, someone ran out of the hall, where PR people with cameras were already carefully waiting for him.
And, as for me, there is definitely some truth in these rumors. It is difficult to surprise a trained viewer who knows about Art here and he is unlikely to be sick. And a casual viewer will not come here, except out of ignorance, as actually happened.
Well, this part should be watched on New Year's Eve anyway)
The atmosphere of the film is perfectly conveyed right on New Year's Eve.
This part appealed to me the most.
A lot of meat, carnage, blood and of course our beloved clown Art))
Art catches on with some kind of, I don't know, energy. Like he's bad, terrible, but you can laugh with him, he's very clumsy and his emotions are something incredible.
The actor who played Art plays his role perfectly.
It's a great movie and as I understand it in the next 4 parts already, Sienna will somehow go looking for Gaby.
And the end of the end turned out to be very powerful. At the end of the video is a screamer from Art 🤡🎄
There is nothing more to say here.
And it was also interesting to watch how some people irrevocably left.) And these shouts in the hall, in the spirit of: "Well, pi***, which sick asshole took it off?!")))))
But I went to see Ono King, and of course to the Terrifying One)
I regret that I did not go to the cinema for the second part)
Probably at the age of 15-17, I would have been wildly delighted, but now somehow thoughtless scalping is not impressive
Since the second part, I have not seen such sadistic violence in modern horror films, I am extremely tired of a bunch of films about ghosts or psychology. Something equally crazy and hilarious was sorely lacking. The film seems to have crawled out of those times when they shot "Wrong Turn", "The Collector" and many other similar films.
