These films are not just inspired by real events — they are almost documentary. They reproduce everything from the words of the killers to the crime scenes.

It looks like they made up Charlize Theron! And how masterfully they transformed her from a gorgeous beauty into a drug addict prostitute! Bravo!!
To be honest, the film itself is average, but Charlize deservedly won an Oscar for it. Great game!

It's a very depressing story. And one of the "factually" controversial ones. If many films about maniacs focus on the "pleasure of killing" maniacs or cruelty, then here you are no longer watching a movie about a murderer, but a drama. I've read about a lot of serial killers, but this particular story remains ambiguous to me. This is the case when you sit and think, "if childhood had been different, would a person have become different?". This is a story about pain and disappointment, for me personally. She is cruel precisely for her realism of the horror of ordinary life, which consists in "just being unlucky to be born into this family." One of my favorite movies so far.
The makeup job is just great, and so is the actress. For me: 5 out of 5.
