Ambivalent feelings after watching. I do not support my father's behavior, these are his " it's all mine, and you are the dust in my house ", " a man should know better " - sounded like he was covering up his injuries and complexes. He taught others a lot how to live, covered himself with the status of a man, and eventually cheated on his wife, hung a child on her by manipulation, because the daughter is innocent, kicked his son out of the house. And what is the result? The aftertaste of the fact that the one who "knew how best" messed up things, and left others to sort out their own joints. I don't think that's how a man should live.

But on the other hand, it's a pity for Troy. He didn't have a father who would show him how to be a decent adult man. Plus, the traumas of childhood make themselves felt - his life was not easy. This again suggests that "gave g-d a bunny, will give a lawn" - does not work))) it's not enough to give birth, you still need to educate)

It was played very sincerely and dramatically. Viola Davis and George Washington are an incredible duo, of course. The film is difficult in terms of perception, the story revolves around a man who was not given love and care in childhood and he transferred all his injuries to his family. A family that lived as if in captivity until he died. You can't wish such a father and husband on the enemy, you just broke everyone. If I were a boy, I would also not want to go to the funeral of such a father. And Rose is incredibly sorry, to give so many years to this asshole for nothing, forgetting about herself and her dreams and plans, and then in her old age to raise his daughter from another and as if she had a choice, especially in those years.
