Great movie

To be honest, it's a weak film adaptation.
Maybe I wouldn't have been so critical if I hadn't read Joan Harris's novel a couple of months ago.
The plotline of the count was cut in such a way that I don't understand his motivation at all, it turned out: he was just angry, ate chocolate, became kind.
The story of the dog was removed, and it was very noticeable in the book.
The ending was completely redone.

The feeling that when you have money, you can take a book, take out everything that you didn't like and take it off the way you want.

If you liked the movie, read the novel, you will understand the meaning even better. It is easily written and reads quickly.
Of course, the film compressed the plot, cut out important scenes in places, but it still turned out great!

I like Joan Harris's novel and I like this movie. although based on the novel, it can be considered a separate work! I regularly review it once a year, it's beautiful, atmospheric, and the actors are beautifully chosen, especially Vienne and Anouk
