The whole time of the film, the situation was heating up and heating up. I thought at the beginning of the film that the outcome would be different, but each time I was surprised and surprised. A very worthwhile film that shows schizophrenia very simply. Vivien Leigh, as always, played just great! I really liked the movie!

The acting is amazing. The first half of the film was very annoying for the main character and the fact that the actress seemed to be overplaying her role, then I realized that the actress had the task of playing a motherfucker, and then I watched the film with surprise at how well she copes with this role. Marlon Brando is amazing. Considering that this is his debut role, one can't help but be surprised by his acting skills. 5/5

@escalion: this is actually his second role. The first was "Men" from 1950. But I agree with you - he played amazing. And I'm surprised he didn't get an Oscar for that role. Apparently, they decided that they were still too young. However, a little later he still got it (and even two). The first was in 1955 for the film "At the Port" (best actor). And the second in 1973 for the film "The Godfather" (best actor).

@RinaAri: it's nice to read when someone is poking around) I haven't watched "At the Port", but since the "Godfather" trilogy, I've basically started to get acquainted with cinema. Of the films starring Brando, I really liked Coppola's "Apocalypse Now", Martin Sheen also played a great role there (like that was the name of the main actor)

😶😶😶
I don't even know how to react to this movie. I imagined a completely different plot. I didn't expect to see what I saw. This movie is creepy. And no, it doesn't show monsters, ghosts, or zombies. The fear here is that all this is quite real. Feelings, emotions, psyche. It's all so shaky and vulnerable. The plus to the horror was the real, very sad story of the actress herself…
Having starred in this film, Vivien Leigh, who had previously suffered from a serious mental illness called "bipolar disorder," began to poorly distinguish reality from the life of her heroine.

About Marlon Brando… His character is so disgusting that even the actor himself hated him. But despite this, he played this role perfectly. I think everyone hated this character along with him.👏🏻

There are some things that confused me...🤔

The first is when Mitch turns on the light bulb to examine Blanche's face, as they have never seen each other in daylight. And he says:

Yes, you are much older than I thought.

What do you mean??? Did you see her face at the first meeting? You didn't meet in a dark cellar, damn it. Even if they only saw each other in the evenings, I could still see her face. Lanterns, chandeliers, light bulbs... artificial light has not been canceled. You're not cavemen (even though they had fire). And if he wasn't chicken blind, then he should have realized that she wasn't a young girl.…

And the second thing that confused me was Stella's pregnancy. After Stanley took her to the hospital, Blanche asked him how her sister was. Stanley replied that the baby would not arrive until tomorrow morning. But how? Stella had no stomach at all. It was as if she had a very early term. Therefore, what kind of child can be born there...?

But still, I have to say that it's a really good job. There are so many complicated emotions that you really get lost in this story.
