A free interpretation of the novel by William Golding "Lord of the Flies ". Something was added, something was removed, the story itself was slightly modernized, and, in my opinion, it turned out even better than the literally verbatim film adaptation of '63. At least, I didn't have any special complaints about acting, the boys behaved quite naturally, and their types were easily recognizable and memorable. But I would attribute everything to the disadvantages, too, excessive forcing of events. The children somehow degraded too quickly, in the book it happened smoothly and gradually, and their transformation into savages was quite justified by the situation, in the film it happens somehow very abruptly and without obvious motives, which looks slightly implausible and illogical.
