"Lando" based on "Star Wars" has been reformatted into a movie

This July, it was revealed that Donald and Stephen Glover ("Atlanta") would serve as writers for a new Disney+ series "Lando," based on the "Star Wars" universe. Now Lucasfilm reports that the project has been reformatted and is being developed as a feature film.

Details of the upcoming picture have not yet been revealed. It is known that the lead role will be played by Donald Glover, who first played a young Lando in the 2018 film "Solo: A Star Wars Story". Work on "Lando" is not currently underway: due to ongoing strikes, the screenwriters are unable to begin writing the plot.

The news that Disney is preparing a series about a young Lando Calrissian first appeared back in late 2020. "Dear White People" series creator Justin Simien was brought in to create the show, but he left the project in 2023 and the Glover brothers took his place.

Glover was just gorgeous as Lando, and I think the character would have been able to open up more in the series. It's strange that they want a movie again, when it was the Khan movie that didn't suit them very much (in my opinion, it was quite good). In any case, I am waiting for the return of Darth Maul with his intrigues, although he has already been used wherever possible, but his plot as the true head of the syndicate can be revealed in more detail, plus my dream is that he will finally be played by Sam Witwer personally, and not just on voice acting.

@GonReborn: Well, Ahsoka and Obi Wan failed, but on the other hand Andor shot the first two parts of Mando. That's why the studio's big bosses are afraid that Lendo will follow the path of Obi Wan, not Andor.

Well I do not know.. The film "Han Solo" was very weak, the series certainly could have revealed better.

Ahsoka and Obi Wan should also be turned into a movie, otherwise there is so much meaningless talk and water that the horror is simply
