The second season of "House of the Dragon" will be released in the early summer of 2024

HBO head Casey Bloys held a press event in New York, where he announced that the second season of the series "House of the Dragon", a spin-off of "Game of Thrones", will premiere in the early summer of 2024. HBO also showed the trailer of the sequel, but the media is forbidden to reveal details of the clip yet.
The events of "House of the Dragon" develop about 200 years before the plot of "Game of Thrones" and tells about the beginning of the fall of House Targaryen. In the story, King Viserys I Targaryen chooses his daughter Rhaenyra as his heir. However, this does not please Viserys' brother and sons, for a woman cannot rule. After the king's death, there is a rift among the Targaryens, resulting in a civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons.
At the same presentation, Casey Bloys revealed that filming on another spin-off of "Game of Thrones", "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Night", will begin next spring, but the exact date depends on the end date of the actors' strike.
