War in Westeros: watch the teaser for the second season of "House of the Dragon"
HBO has released a teaser for the second season of "House of the Dragon", the "Game of Thrones" spin-off series based on George R.R. Martin's novel "Flame and Blood".
The events of "House of the Dragon" develop about 200 years before the plot of "Game of Thrones" and tells about the beginning of the fall of House Targaryen. In the story, King Viserys I Targaryen chooses his daughter Rhaenyra as his heir. However, this does not please Viserys' brother and sons, for a woman cannot rule. After the king's death, there is a split among the Targaryens, resulting in a civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons.
The main roles in the series are played by Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, and Emma D'Arcy. In the second season, the cast of the project was joined by Tom Taylor, who played Lord Cregan Stark, as well as Clinton Liberty, Jamie Kenna, and Kieran Bew.
The show's second season will premiere in early summer 2024.
