Actress Nicole Kidman, speaking to fans, revealed that the series "Big Little Lies" will get a third season.
"I love "Big Little Lies". We will be bringing you a third one, just FYI", — Kidman, who played the role of Celeste Wright and also produced the project, shared.
However, work on a sequel to the series is not yet underway. According to Deadline's sources, right now the creators of the project and HBO channel are not in any negotiations. Apparently, the series team is only planning to start working on the new season.
"Big Little Lies" is based on Liane Moriarty's best-selling novel. The show is about the mothers of five first-graders at an elite school in California. One day during a fundraiser at the school, a murder occurs, and the five families are drawn into the investigation.
Along with Kidman, the series stars Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, and Meryl Streep.
