Netflix is working on a "Wednesday" spin-off about Uncle Fester
Bloomberg reports that Netflix is thinking about creating a spin-off for the hit "Wednesday". The new show will be about another member of the Addams Family — Uncle Fester, whose role in "Wednesday" was played by Fred Armisen.
The project is in the very early stages of development and has not yet gone into production.
"As with any TV show in development, there is no guarantee the Uncle Fester show will ever happen. The writers have to figure out the story, the company needs to negotiate contracts with talent, and the schedules of the individuals must align", — explained journalist Lucas Shaw.
While the creators and company are mulling over the start of production, the "Wednesday" team has begun preparations for filming the second season. Earlier it was reported that they will start at the end of April and will take place in Ireland. The first part of the project was filmed in Romania, but due to problems with logistics, the location was decided to move.
The series, the main role in which Jenna Ortega performs, tells about Wednesday Addams — the daughter of Gomez and Morticia. The girl studies at Nevermore Academy, where she tries to learn how to control her psychic abilities. But her problems don't end there: Wansday will have to stop the terrorizing small town killer and solve the mystery of her parents, which connected them 25 years ago.
