HBO has renewed historical drama "The Gilded Age" for a third season
HBO has renewed the historical series "The Gilded Age": the show from Julian Fellowes, the author of "Downton Abbey", will get a third season. Fans didn't have to wait long for news about the fate of the project: the second season ended just a few days ago.
"We’re delighted that HBO is giving fans another season of Julian Fellowes’ incredible storytelling. The cast and crew put so much of their heart and soul into the last two seasons, and we’re so proud that all this hard work is paying off with another season… you won’t want to miss what’s next!" — said Erin Underhill, president of Universal TV, which is producing the series with HBO.
"The Gilded Age" series is about Marian Brooke. In 1882, she moves from rural Pennsylvania to New York City to live with her wealthy aunts, Agnes Van Rhijn and Ada Brooke. Eventually, the girl becomes embroiled in a war between one of her aunts and her incredibly wealthy neighbors — ruthless railroad tycoon George Russell and his ambitious wife Bertha. But will Marian, finding herself in a new world, standing on the threshold of the XX century, to follow the established rules of society or will pave her own way?
