@AllisonJB: and it seems to me that it's not him, he's a pedophile, he just followed the kid and jerked off at home on his photos. But the "friend" is muddy. Today they are friends and play video games, and tomorrow he pretends that he does not know Jacob and starts rumors.
@Xentin: I understand that the point here is not in the killer, but in the family, they show how parents worry and protect, but I don't like open finals...
While watching the series, I realized that I just loved the series incredibly. I don't remember many TV shows, the release of which I would have been so looking forward to. And there doesn't seem to be much action, not many events, but it's an incredible tension, the drama keeps all the honest 50 minutes of each episode at the screen. The creators did a great job, it's top class.
Sarah's kindness surprised me. It's amazing how young girls are sometimes forgiving after all.
And the story written by Jacob, with such details, nuances... I can't imagine how Laurie and Andy felt, how Ben's parents felt. It's incredibly simple. I don't even know which is worse- the very fact of writing the story or the fact that Ben genuinely doesn't understand what's wrong with it.
Lori finally voiced everything that she and we all thought while watching this story. And I want to see the denouement, and I'm afraid of it.
After Jacob became the main suspect, events began to develop even faster, and I even thought that maybe it was worth waiting for the release of the entire season, because the intrigue would devour me. After Jacob admits that he found the body, you immediately think, "no, why did you do that, why did you tell her and not your father," but then, in the interrogation room (?) You see, he's just a kid, he doesn't know what to do, and that makes it even more painful. I liked Sarah (Jacob's classmate), she obviously cares about him.
There are a lot of events in one episode: Patz was forced to confess, the trial, a trip to Mexico, the disappearance of the girl, the suffering and torment of Lori, the accident. Then who was involved in Ben's death? They closed the line of Derek and the curly-haired girlfriend. I expected that the events in the park on the day of the murder would be shown. Jacob refuses to confess to the last. Will there be a second season? I'm thinking of reading a book
