Well, I think everyone would agree that it was pretty obvious. I mean, the fact that a Sinnerman is a captain. :'D
But, to give the writers their due, I didn't expect Cain. I thought it was another angel or something like that. I remember the comic books Cain and Abel and hope. But this is unlikely, of course. I wonder what he wants from Lucie.
@Kodval: In Gaiman's Sandman comics, Cain and Abel are servants of the lord of Dreams Morpheus, living on the outskirts of his world in the House of Secrets. Cain periodically kills Abel, but it won't last long.
@Solveig: and I was expecting Pierce and Cain, the first and only guess about who the Sinner in Christianity might be. And strangely, I didn't like the way they furnished it any less.
@lady_kana: I'm watching it in the original. So what difference does it make, a sinner or a sinner, the same word in different languages) I just did not expect Cain precisely because he is very unlike the fearsome Cain who was in the Sandman.
But I wonder why Sinnerman was so eager for Lucifer to kill him, and why Cain, who seemed to be in league with Sinnerman, shot him himself?
Separately, I don't quite understand how the business with the services was organized (or how Lucifer's favorites were transferred from us)? The person who provides them should be very noticeable if he does it like Lucifer (and according to the series, he does). A prominent policeman in such a role would not have been able to hide for long, but Lucifer could not figure out the identity of his competitor until the last moment... In short, it's mysterious.
@Quill: In the order of delirium: the black one is Abel. Cain constantly kills him, and he comes to life every time. If Lucifer had killed him, he would have finally rested, but it didn't happen. There was Cain and Abel in Sandman too, and they had a pretty complicated relationship, so maybe here too.
@shiroisasori: Thanks for the reply :) After reading the other comments, I understand that you have read the comics. I haven't read it, so I didn't have any assumptions :) Your version now looks the most plausible, imho.
@shiroisasori: The eye-gouging detail also fits in here..He didn't want Lucifer to find out Abel's plan to die at Lucie's hands. Well, Cain did not want his brother to die completely
@shiroisasori: a very interesting option! But then the photo in which black was small does not fit into this picture, but Cain is quite an adult. Although, again, in the order of delirium, Abel can be reborn every time in a new body, or something like that.
@Ctixia: Yes, otherwise they would be in the same immortal position. Another question is, for Cain, this is a kind of punishment blah blah blah, but what are these rebirths for Abel? Or he's still his projection, but then it's even weirder.
Everyone has long guessed about the Sinner, but hardly anyone thought that it would be Cain. The writers are very happy - when you start to think that you have understood everything and "is everything so predictable again" something happens that makes you remember why you love the series. We are waiting for the New Year's episode. In general, I wonder why Luci did not understand who was in front of him, given that he saw the captain quite often.
@tomagalustyan: Except there, the stern, bearded Timothy Omandson looked like a cool hermit Cain, and here - a cute cop. Still, there must be something in Cain... Is it primitive or something?
@tomagalustyan: and the actor from the previous episodes, who played the God from the mental hospital, played Cain in the Super. He has such eyes-these roles are just perfect for him😍
Lucifer's guesses are 100 points, although he could have guessed earlier if he wanted to right away. I really like such a sweet domestic prosecutor Charlotte, and how she got along great with Trixie) Although, what I'm surprised at is that Trixie can make friends with anyone, whether you're a devil, a demon or an assistant prosecutor)) It was a little insulting for Ella.. Even though she always chatters incessantly, which can be annoying, it was too much.. She would probably avoid the lieutenant now, and he would hardly apologize.
@leyton08: To be honest, I understand him. I would have snapped the same way. Ella is very strange in places, that's a fact. The captain himself broke down, rather, because of the failure of the plan. But let's put aside the fact that the captain is Cain, he killed his brother and the Sinnerman himself, let's say he would have been a victim, as he claimed. Well, think about it, you're worried there, here's your brother's killer, and here Ella is talking some nonsense about her dog as a child.
Here's the twist : Oh I knew that Sinner is Sinnerman, but the fact that he is Cain... :oh Although the story is about a Sinner and a murdered brother... We are waiting for January 23rd to find out what will happen next
@Hunterrr: Yes, by the way, it pissed me off. She was always reserved, but suddenly she threw a deaf tantrum at the wrong time. You've made a very accurate point.
It really looked like the Negro was Abel. And not the first, judging by the suffering of the lieutenant. But the moment before the resurrection was very tense! But it is clear why Maze could not find out anything - Abel is also not simple, although he is only technically immortal. (Well, I understood that he was being reborn)
@Gordey: Well, it may turn out that it's not as simple with murder as in the Bible. That Abel was also guilty of something (maybe it was an act of mercy on the part of Cain). And in fact, this is a punishment for two brothers. One must be reborn forever, the other must live forever and eventually kill his brother when he reaches a certain age.
And in order to break this circle, Abel must be killed by Lucifer.
@Axelmax: Yes, under each episode since the appearance of the captain, many people wrote about it, which annoyed me, because I also did not see any signs, but think about it - they turned out to be right! =))
@alavitka: That's right. I'm sitting here thinking now. I understand that his tattoo confused me back in the last episode, when Chloe stuck to Pierce dragging a table.
@Axelmax: oh, so if you don't write about it under each episode, seeing that a lot of people have already said about it, then it doesn't count? Cute. Only here can not only guesswork work, but also an understanding of the principle "if a gun is hanging on the stage in the first act, then it should fire in the last one." They couldn't introduce it just to dilute the airtime, the creators promoted the appearance of Welling too much.
With Cain, of course, it's a great move, unexpectedly but Where did Cain get the power to knock out the devil, return his wings and take away his devil's face?
@lyingfromyou: That's it, and I mean the same thing. The incomprehensible accounts of Cain to Lucie are one thing, and the wings are the work of divine hands IMHO. It remains only to wait out hiatus, because the next thing Luci is simply obliged to ask Cain a question, why did he do it? It's a stupid theory, but since he's been saying it all the time, I think it's supposed to be a surprise to the audience that the Sinner didn't do it, and in general, not a dream or a spirit. "It just happened" =))
@alavitka: I agree with you, it also seems that Cain cannot have such power. In theory, he is an ordinary person who was cursed, let's say, only he experiences a repetition not in hell, but on earth, killing his brother every time, which he said that the sinner killed his brother. I don't think that apart from immortality and maybe a little superpowers (otherwise, he knocked out Lucifer), he has any abilities.
A funny fact. Pierce was absolutely honest when he said that the sinner had killed his brother. I forgot to mention, though, that he is the sinner who killed his brother himself.
And the Negro, as an option, was Abel, the victim. It is curious what and how they will add up next. Well, the wings and minus the face of the devil are definitely God.
Alternatively, Cain by himself can knock the devil unconscious.
One question remained when the therapist's husband's personal hell was shown, there were chains on some doors (like the chain on mom's "room"), who is sitting there and would like to get out? Some entities who know that you can leave if you want, but there is an order that they stay there?
It would be foolish now to irrevocably make Pierce the main antagonist of the season, to write him down as an enemy. Because we don't know yet what he wants from Lucie. I still see him as the captain of the precinct, giving orders, and only Luci, who knows the truth, glares from a dark corner by the cooler. And Chloe, Ella and Espinosa still believe him, as they always do. It remains to figure out what reasons can make Luci not get into a big fight, and not arrange an open war with Cain. Blackmail? I don't think so, I don't see what yet. A deal? A service? Maybe. Killing Abel may be a reason in the future. The desire to go to heaven? Get Daddy and ask for it? To force it? Cajole? Oh, how many options can there be... how else will Maze and Amenadil react to the appearance of Cain?..
And for some reason, I'm NOT waiting for Chloe or Linda to find out about everything. And Ella. Faithful, emotional Ella, my little star :)
P, S. Trixie is a genius. I love this girl, she makes ropes out of any person or creature.
Honestly, half the series was going on, well, something completely incomprehensible. But the finale just made the series and made it cool. The moment with Cain is cool.
And in fact, the sinner really killed Pierce's brother))) he said it absolutely honestly, he forgot to mention that he himself is the sinner who killed his brother)))
I suspected the lieutenant of sinfulness, but it didn't even occur to me who he really was. But it's pretty obvious, it's Cain who fits the role of a Sinner. A great episode
I will not say that the revelation of the Sinner turned out to be such a sudden turn , but as already noted, with Cain it is unexpected and interesting. The fire series. The creators of Lucifer are pleased with p.s. What beautiful locations are used in the series, this series is a separate kind of art – views and color correction cannon ❤
Great turnaround! And I hope that Cain will not become a banal antagonist, and that some interesting and ambiguous muddle will turn out with him - after all, stealing the devil's face and returning the wings must mean something ... This season is generally pleasing. It's very cool that Charlotte has become one of the regular heroes, I really like her in the "human form" too :) After all, Tricia Helfer is The best^^
I was pleased with the move with Cain. It's really interesting. Well, the theory about the reborn brother is cool. Now it seems to me that he will be on the team with them, because did he kill someone? It turns out that besides kidnapping Lucifer and trying to bring him to the murder of the "sinner" there was nothing else and Pierce set it up? It remains to understand what all this was for?
Is this the same reason she was removed from the series for a decent period of time? It's as if the scenes with her were specially shot to insert unnoticeably into the main plot.. That explains everything.
@Dana_ptr: It's quite possible. this happens a lot. In "How I Met Your Mother" in season 4, it seems, the heroines Lily and Robin were also pregnant and covered themselves with large bags for half the season.
"I wonder why I didn't figure it out sooner." The world's first murderer, marked by the Lord and doomed to walk the earth alone and in agony until the end of time. An impressive nickname. But even it's not as ridiculous as A sinner. Don't you agree, Cain?
At the end of the episode, there was a reaction: "Cain?! Cain, damn it! Seriously? Fuck you!" 😃 But seriously, I, like everyone else, suspected that something was wrong with the lieutenant. But Cain is strong! (I thought I wouldn't see 100,500 divine beings after the Supernova)
P.S.: I looked through the comments and didn't seem to see anyone mentioning how amazing and funny the "sinner" looked with painted eyes and a smile in all 32 teeth))) I just got sick from those moments. (Unfortunately, I don't have a premium account, so I can't attach a screenshot)
Cain?! Seriously?! It was more than unexpected... I thought it was just a Sinner, but here's Cain... But the story about the brother, which affects him so much, is clear. After all, he killed him. Sinful Cain. That's a twist, that's a BOMB! Let's see how the plot will be promoted further)
But, to give the writers their due, I didn't expect Cain. I thought it was another angel or something like that. I remember the comic books Cain and Abel and hope. But this is unlikely, of course. I wonder what he wants from Lucie.

1. Hiatus

In "How I Met Your Mother" in season 4, it seems, the heroines Lily and Robin were also pregnant and covered themselves with large bags for half the season.
I suspected something was wrong with this Lieutenant, but this turn was unexpected in the end.
He lost his brother.
IT WAS A CLUE.
How could I not have guessed it myself...
Superman - Cain 🥲what for, but Real unexpectedly
