The prize for the worst special effects goes to the scene with wings! My God, how could such a good idea be so spoiled is unclear, and they also specially made working wings for the stage. CGI in this series is generally lame - I never paid attention to the fact that everything outside the car windows is drawn, but then it really caught my eye.

The series did not meet expectations, as for me it is generally one of the weakest episodes of the season, and even the dance of Lucifer and Chloe and the showdown with Maze did not save her. It was interesting to look at the "teenager" Chloe and the "adult" Luci, but it's good that everything ended on this series xD

The series is mimic in the spirit of "Katya Pushkareva" with cliche phrases "don't judge by the cover." In comparison with the previous series, where they fought and got married, unfortunately, it looks sluggish, and there are very few jokes :((

It seems that the authors subtly hint at the theme of the series "creative crisis" ...)))) On the other hand, they also announced the recipe for the exit - read the comments of fans and their fan fiction! :))

I also liked the reference to the Matrix: Lucifer's dream about Chloe's fall, like Neo's dream about Trinity's fall. However, the special effects seem to be from the same era of the 2000s.

@SlKelevro: In the second part of the trilogy, Neo had nightmares (when he was not connected to the matrix, but just sleeping), as Trinity falls down, and he tries to save her. It is precisely the reference to this moment (to the nightmares) in Lucifer that I am talking about. Later, Neo's dream came true when he and Trinity were in the matrix, and Neo managed to save her.

Well, the cherry on the cake is Ella's phrase about the "criminalist talking to ghosts", which confirms the guess of the user Weirdo_o in the comments to the last series: Ella is the prototype of Elaine from the comics. With superpowers and a difficult pedigree:

By the way, the idea of killing because of a book that describes the real relationships of real people, well, IT was VERY reminiscent of the series based on the books of the very J.K. Rowling, author of Harry Potter, "Cormoran Strike" (series "Silkworm"): myshows.me/view/54349/

@im8399984: Well, I wouldn't call the book particularly gloomy, at least the first one. And the movement seems to be normal, but somehow... Long :) On the one hand, the series is easier, on the other hand, it leaves an aftertaste from the series "What, and that's it?". Because the production there is specifically serial, not even for mini-movies, and there are only three arches (well, or four, I don't know if the fourth book was published or not).

@Gourry_aka_pm: About the benefits. The authors and actors repeat in various interviews (for example, at Comic books) that each season has its own specific theme. In season 3, it's self-identification, the question "Who am I really?" In particular, this is why there are so many episodes about minor characters revealing their personal dramas: Linda and her husband, the Amenadil pendant, Maze and the fugitive in Canada, Ella and Vegas, Chloe and childhood graduation, etc.

Another reason is commercial. The authors said that the FOX channel did not tell them exactly how many episodes there would be this season. There was a contract for 18 exactly, and the rest - as it goes. Over time, the channel decided that it would be somewhere 22-24, but not exactly. Therefore, the authors made an end-to-end plot for 18 episodes, and the rest of the episodes were written as independent (standalone) so that, like a puzzle, with a small installation, they could either be added to the season or removed.

@Gourry_aka_pm: Well, to top it off, about the theme. The first season is about problems in the child's relationship with his father (Daddy Issues). Not only Lucie, but all the other characters, including Chloe and the heroes of the investigations.

Remember the series about mercury poisoning (father and prodigal son), about paparazzi (the young photographer was like a son to an experienced one), about a virgin football player (the manager was like a father to him), etc.

The second season is about relationships: in the family, in society, mom, relatives, friendship. That's why there are so many episodes in the second season where the characters interact in pairs in various unusual combinations: Lucie learns to be Dan, Dan teaches Aminadil improvisation, Chloe fights back against Maman in court, etc.

Damn, what kind of relationship mess is this? Maze is a terrorist, and Linda and Amenadiel are slobs. And suddenly we have a romance between Luci and Chloe again, when everyone has already given up... It seems to me that the authors of the plot treat the audience, characters and relationships lightly, but they want us to treat them that way, and they will play with our feelings... Grrr! It pisses me off when they rush out like that - then suddenly a novel, then just as suddenly not a novel for some reason sucked out of their fingers.

@alavitka: "What kind of relationship mess is this?" - much becomes clearer if we perceive the storylines not as a documentary description of situations - the characters fell in love, broke up, reconciled, but as allusions (hints, references) to typical situations familiar to each of us from our real life, as metaphors - artistic and/ or psychological.

"Maze is a terrorist" - Maze is a classic "Dog in the Manger" here: she saw that someone needed Amenadil, and immediately became fiercely jealous. Although, until Linda became interested in Aminadil, Mayes didn't give a damn about him - both in terms of sex and in terms of relationships. In Ostrovsky's words: "So don't get yourself to anyone..."

The situation when one of the friends put her husband/ boyfriend outside to "get some air", and the other "felt sorry for" him and "picked him up" is a classic :))) Remember Olga Kartunkova and their musical number about "Zinka, who is called a slut." There Olga is a Maze in all its glory: youtube.com/watch?v=Xg35bGuqeI4

@im8399984: We wrote so much, but we missed it. Maze didn't feel any fierce jealousy. The nonsense of a grey mare. The point of all the hysteria is that Linda betrayed their friendship. Maze asked not to sleep with her ex, because girlfriends don't do that, Linda promised, and she didn't keep her word. She lied about it, and continued to hide the affair. Amenadil surrendered to Maze like tits on a boar's back!
That is why she threw a tantrum in the restaurant not to both of them, not to Ami, but to Linda, and almost ignored him, calling him daddy's son and gagging him.

@Oliverell22: I don't mind, it's also a good look at what happened.
"Nonsense of a grey mare" - well, why so categorically, I have brown hair :))

"Amenadil surrendered to Maze like boobs on a boar's back" - and I think that's not the case. And what Maze does is a classic denial, one of the ways of psychological defense: "I don't care about him, it doesn't hurt, I don't have feelings for him, I've already forgotten him! I don't care where he is, or who he's with, or if he's even alive." But all her actions point to the opposite.

In episode 9, when Maze came to Lucie, locked in the freezer, she was furious (27:00) only because of suspicion, seeing Linda and Amenadil in the office together, in her own words, "cooing". Ie. 1) sex was not even there yet, 2) no persuasion between friends, who to sleep with and who not to sleep with, either. And Maze's rabies was already there. And so strong that Maze did not put it off and immediately found Lucie in the freezer to discuss this "insignificant" topic of just suspicion.

What does Lucie say to her: "Didn't you think that talking in the office is Linda's job? So what if Amenadil is "playing doctor" with the doctor? Our friends are having an affair. I don't care! Why don't you? Unless you still have feelings for that angel?" Here's the reaction of a man who really Amenadil "gave up like boobs on a boar's back" - he doesn't care, these are their friends, so what if they're having an affair? Yes, you're welcome!

And Maze answers him: "No! No!" (the same denial is going on). And then she thinks for a moment, and her mind tries to find a suitable rational explanation for her feelings and behavior: "Well, I am... She's the same... My best friend! And he's my ex. I don't like it." (by the way, the actress smartly played this moment of searching for an explanation of her feelings for herself).

@Oliverell22: So you're confusing cause and effect by saying, "The point of all the hysteria is that Linda betrayed their friendship. Maze asked not to sleep with her ex, because girlfriends don't do that, Linda promised, and she didn't keep her word."

Moreover, she "hung all the dogs" on Linda Maze precisely because Amenadil is expensive and means a lot to Maze, and she protects him inside, they say, he had nothing to do with it, Linda seduced him, took advantage of his weakness, and he is an innocent victim, etc. It's not for me to tell you how girls in love behave towards unfaithful guys - they will find a hundred excuses for him, and the "estranged" girlfriend or anyone else will always be to blame, just not him.

@im8399984: I agree with you. Moreover, jealousy is such a bastard that it manifests itself to girlfriends and to everyone with whom there was a relationship, i.e. who was once considered "property" in the subconscious of a jealous person. That is, both motives take place in Mays. But the scale of her reaction! And she really intimidated the guys, because she can kill or physically maim them! That's why I called her a terrorist. Instead of being happy for her friend, she feeds her sick possessive ego, not even trying to think about what would be best for these two (i.e., doing exactly the same thing she accuses them of).

@alavitka: "Linda and Amenadil are slobs" - don't generalize :) Amenadil - yes. Remember that season 3 is dedicated to self-identification, the answer to the question "Who am I really?" And Amenadil, this most powerful and invincible warrior of God, without the angelic power given by God - wings, invulnerability, time dilation - immediately turns into a cowardly slobber. The same thing happens in life when a "cool" child from an influential, wealthy family ("golden youth"), who is allowed everything and the sea is knee-deep, for some reason loses the support (finances, connections) of his father.

By the way, unlike Lucie! Who, despite the presence/ absence of external attributes - wings, a devilish face, immortality - also given by his Father, tries to remain himself (find himself?).

And Linda went through a difficult choice: will she be able to be happy if it makes her friend unhappy? It turned out not to be. At the end of the episode, on the bench, she tells Amenadil: "If I do this, it won't be me." So Linda is not a slobber, but a person who cannot walk over the heads of others to achieve her goals and her own happiness.

@im8399984: You know the whole question of who is happy and who is unhappy and the dependence of this question on others, and even more so on their painful reactions, is considered snot for me. What if my friend gets nervous about my new handbag for some reason? Shouldn't I buy new bags now? These are not real motives, but games that people play - a sense of guilt, a desire for approval, etc. Well, the Maze really does not react adequately! And they follow the lead!

@alavitka: I agree 100%!
"And if my friend is nervous about my new handbag for some reason? Shouldn't I buy new bags now?" - in real life, it will usually not be a purse, but some expensive purchases (jewelry, vacation trips), a large salary, a handsome and loving husband, an expensive car-apartment, a prestigious job, your professionalism, your intelligence and education, your luck, and so on indefinitely.

All these things, whether we like it or not, will evoke in the people around us (friends, unfortunately, are also people ...) banal envy, because against the background of our successes, our less successful friends will feel like losers with all the consequences - from "classic" gossip, gossip and insults behind their backs to "newfangled" spoilage and love spells.

And in order not to "traumatize" the lazy ego of our friends with our successes, we often hide or at least downplay these successes, following, as you said, a sense of guilt (what are we to blame for? that we plow like horses and are therefore successful?) to preserve this "friendship". And then the question is: do we need such "friends", such "friendship" and the approval of such people? :((

@im8399984: That's it, I just don't have such friends, because I've given up. Actually, they didn't even have to see them off - they fell off long ago (on the border of adulthood, before that there was nothing to brag about and envy did not manifest itself), as a rule, just like Maze - mortally offended by something good in my life (admission to university, a young man). I can't imagine giving up on this, as long as their toad doesn't crush them! This is nonsense! =)) Moreover, a psychologist should understand all this.

@alavitka: "the romance between Lucie and Chloe, when everyone gave up" is not a novel as a novel. For Lucie, it's more like meeting her first love at a reunion.

Do you remember your first love? ;) It must have been at school. And for sure, it didn't end up being very fun. For example, the feeling was not mutual, or forbidden (to one of the teachers, to someone older, to someone "bad"), or there was betrayal, etc.

And so the years have passed, you got married, divorced, so much has happened. But here you meet this man. Both of you are already completely different than before. But all those school memories and mixed feelings about this person come back to life in you. On the one hand, he hurt you, but on the other hand, you loved him very much and, perhaps, continue to love him. Although you understand that nothing will come of it. By the way, Luci just managed to get married and divorced ...))

And for Chloe, it's like a romantic once-in-a-lifetime high school prom. And at this ball, she was invited to dance by such a gorgeous "classmate". It is clear that under the influx of all these events and emotions, something there gave her a school-like jump.

By the way, Lucie, like Chloe, also did not have a "normal" school life, because there is no special school for angels)) So they were both deprived of a "normal" childhood, they were forced to immediately become adults. And in this series, through undercover work and this impromptu dance in the Suite, they help each other get this "school" romantic experience, which is called "closing the gestalt".

@im8399984: Well, of course, their looks were just "grateful", right? After all, this is a classic option for a series with partners, where there are feelings, but they are never allowed to develop so as not to lose emotional tension for the audience (except for Castle from what I watched, and there they were forced to then "kidnap" Castle or Becket to create experiences for us). Moreover, in this series, the worst implementation of this case is that they take an extremely long time and develop unevenly: at the end of the second season we were given a kiss, then at the beginning of the third Lucie urgently knocked urine in her head that it was all unnatural, and the topic was abandoned altogether, moreover, they began to throw alternative partners to both (hints), and here again this unmistakably romantic look. See above, someone even asked why they didn't kiss.

@alavitka: Speaking of Castle. The same technique is now used in the "Blind Spot" (Blindspot). The main characters, Kurt and Jane, were married relatively quickly, and now they are constantly being separated - then she runs away somewhere without warning anyone, then he killed her daughter ...)))

@alavitka: "for some reason sucked out of my finger" - as for me, the authors give the viewer an excellent (and rare in modern entertainment cinema and TV) opportunity, based on all the data that is known from previous episodes about the characters and their relationships, to recreate these "reasons" in their head. Upload this data to your default brain system and turn it around there (sorry, I've read Kurpatov's "Halls of Reason").

In my opinion, the motives of the characters' actions are quite adequate to the context of what is happening, thought out by the authors in advance, and not sucked out accidentally or hastily.

Perhaps it is confusing the speed and compactness with which events in Lucifer are presented to us. In most of the "classic" series that we are used to, the lines between the characters drag on and on for a long time during each season (especially the HBO series ...)

We are just used to such a leisurely pace and "chewing" of the characters' motives, when they literally speak out loud why they commit this or that act. Therefore, when something happens "too fast" or "too unsaid" than we were used to before, irritation naturally arises in us, because it forces us to change habits and rebuild. And the brain is very, very reluctant to change :)

If possible, take a look at Kurpatov's books "The Halls of Reason: Kill the idiot in yourself" or "The Red Pill" (there are already free torrents). Many points will be clarified.

@im8399984: Don't make my shoelaces laugh. Chloe and Lucie are being pulled like lagman, and Linda + Amenadiel started quite suddenly and ended just as suddenly. I'm not judging by TV shows, but by real life. Even if they really suddenly discovered deep feelings, they gave them up too easily. It's all much more like "games" and still a search for excuses, and the real reason is, as always, fear (we read Bern). So it's only if you speculatively consider and think about something there (although it's not the fact that I have the same vava in my head as they do), you can find logic, but in fact I have an unmistakable flair in terms of relationships, and I tell you that the screenwriters in this matter they swim and do not develop them very plausibly (even taking into account my rich imagination).

Thanks for the advice about books, the titles look interesting. If this is something in terms of the same "Parasites of consciousness" or "Dictionary of tactical reality", I will definitely read it. If only not too popularized stuff, when the author allegedly removes noodles from the readers' brains, and immediately throws another one (completely clearing the brains of garbage is not an easy and quick task. I am still doing this, for the 5th year after the above-mentioned books, and most importantly, a living teacher).

@alavitka: I really like your version with banal fear, which then the consciousness of Linda and Amenadil justifies with "convenient" narratives: "I'm not like that, I'm waiting for the tram... And I'm not like that either, blah blah." Who admits to himself that he just got scared? And that "eternal love" for a couple of weeks was not love at all, but banal sex of single people who stopped fighting for their
"real" feelings at the first problem.

It looks especially disgusting after Amenadil's words on a date in the office: "I'm ready for anything for you." Luci even went back to hell for Chloe. And what did Amenadil do to stay with Linda? He didn't even talk to Maze (((

@alavitka: I have not read any of the examples of books you have given, but it looks like books from the series "Mental Traps" (especially the book "The Red Pill"). Kurpatov has just quite a lot of scientific part with examples and explanations of modern experiments in neurophysiology.

If you are too lazy to take up a book (for example, I terribly dislike reading :)), take a look at several lectures by Kurpatov on these books on YouTube. He tells almost everything in the books very vividly there - both ideas and experiments, plus answers questions from the audience. For example, about the experiments from the Red Pill:
youtube.com/watch?v=Ne4Y089dw8k

It was thanks to these lectures that I learned about books and Andrei Kurpatov. Although I used to associate him with some kind of showman in the spirit of Malysheva)) It turned out to be a very smart guy.

The 2 books I have named are slightly different in format, the first is an artist with a powerful subtext, the second is really a dictionary, just giving a cut of concepts related to the formation of public and individual opinions through it, but these concepts themselves change the mindset and view of what you know, as you believe.

"some of the best comments... it was like I was participating in a conversation" - such long "blah, blah, blah", as we turned out, is very much for an amateur. I'm glad you're another amateur!

PS: Although this series was not great in itself, but thanks to the discussions, "Lucifer" lit up on the "Community" page of this site, at the top, in the "Most commented on in the last 7 days" section. Maybe this will encourage potential viewers to pay attention to "Lucifer". And then there are "Arrow", "Shit Agents" and other "Walking Dead" looming all the time ...))))

@im8399984: Oh, and here's a man who repeats my mistake by referring to "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as "Agents of SHIT".
At one time he did the same, and then, at the request of his best friend, he watched the series beyond the first few episodes. Now I'm so ashamed of myself from the past, so ashamed, I want to sink through the ground.

I highly recommend giving "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." another chance. The series is damn decent. Both the cast and, most importantly, the writers of the series deserve respect and honors. Because literally with every season, the series grows above itself, surprises and catches on more than before. After the release of the movie "The First Avenger. The Other War", which led to the coolest plot twist somewhere around episode 16 of the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., there were practically no passing episodes in this series. Moreover, now that the fifth season is coming out, looking back, you realize that even the first episodes of the series were not as bad as it initially seemed. They were just necessary to get to know the world, the characters and their characters. To some extent, you even miss these simple episodes a little, because after them the viewer is practically not allowed to relax, throwing the characters into the very abyss of events of incredible scale immediately after they deal with previous events of incredible scale.
In fact, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are destined to become classics.

@Kostyurik: Damn, you did such a promo that it's just a sin not to check it out! :))) Unfortunately, I had the same situation with the TV series "Lethal Weapon". I watched the first episodes - and immediately fudged, they say, cliche on cliche: GG is a former marine whose pregnant wife dies in an accident before the wedding; he had a terrible childhood: his mother died of cancer, his father drank himself drunk, beat him and once almost killed him. Then there are shelters and endless foster families. This explains GG's passion for self-destruction and risk in adulthood. In general, tin (really, tin).

But then somehow I didn't have anything to do, I looked at the first episodes of the 2nd season - and now this is my favorite series along with Lucifer! (by the way, both are on the FOX channel) The role of the partner is played by a black actor-a funny guy from the famous movie "Major Payne".

It's just an amazing balance of humor, drama, detective and action: in each episode, something is sure to be blown up, smashed, chased and fought over. The last 17th episode had great parachute and airplane stunts.

@im8399984: I'll also throw in my five kopecks about the Agents. I don't agree with Kostyurik in everything, but here he is 100% right, this series will really go down in history, become a classic, become the series that in a few years will shed tears, remembering how good it was to watch it from series to series. to wait for each one, to discuss, to guess, to languish in anticipation of posters, references, connections with the film universe, to enjoy reviewing it clearly chronologically, starting from the first film, then the correct number of episodes to the second film, then again films, again seasons of Agents. Yes, there are fewer and fewer connections now, but the completeness of the picture is still there, and there is a memory that if Loki hadn't killed Coulson in the movie then, then we wouldn't have seen this amazing series.

@im8399984: As for Lethal weapons, you surprised me. Did I really fall back on one of the people who hadn't seen the original "Lethal Weapon" movies???? This is a classic of the late eighties and early nineties - the standard of comedy action films of that time!!!! It's the divine Mel Gibson and the magnificent Danny Glover!
And the whole series, although it keeps its own brand, nevertheless pays all possible tribute to the original films. What you should thank Canada Fox for is that, contrary to tradition, they managed not to offend the original, but on the contrary, to glorify it, not to spoil the memory of the good with a bad remake or a bad parody, but also to continue in their own style, at a high level of humor, action, drama, accompanied by a magnificent soundtrack.
If I understood correctly, and you haven't seen these 4 films, please watch them!
And by the way, there are very good hints and rumors that we will see the fifth part, since the director and the main actors are interested in this) but this is just talk and preliminary work so far...

@Oliverell22: As promised, I watched the original films - the 1st and 4th parts, 11 years have passed between the release of which. I decided, as they say, to feel the difference :)

And once again I was convinced that context plays a key role in evaluating something. I.e., as you said, it was probably super-duper for that time, if the 1st part was even given an Oscar for the sound of o_O

But these days, when even a Farting Man with Transformers causes the viewer to vomit Yawn, this movie looks hard. Not to mention the fact that the naked breasts of a murdered girl and the naked ass of a pissing Gibson are difficult to surprise anyone in the age of the Internet ...)))))

The 1st part did not go at all :(Until the moment Gibson saved the jumper from the roof, I wanted to turn it off altogether - it was so overplayed and tedious. But then the interaction of the partners began, and it became tolerable.

But I liked the 4th part. It's more like a series in terms of dynamics and humor. They blew up everything they could - a ship, a boat, a house, cars :)) Western bruising met with martial arts. Jet Li was very pleased!

And of course nostalgia: satellite communications, pagers, monitors with a kinescope, expensive payment for incoming calls (Chris Rock played a whole sketch).

Therefore, as a way to kill time, to be nostalgic, to remember what cinema and life were like just some 20 years ago is normal. But I like the series better. And the play of Klein Crawford as a man who is really on the edge is more convincing to me than Gibson's tears over his wife's wedding photo and even on her grave. This is IMHO.

@Oliverell22: PS: Well, the cliche was just finished off! In the final fights of both parts, it rains. Seriously?? :)) In the first episode, they even hit a hydrant with a car to arrange a wrestling match in the mud.

Gibson is suffering at his wife's grave - it's raining. Gibson does not suffer at his wife's grave, but says he wants to marry a new girl- the sun is shining. Although in LA, it seems, rain is still a rarity ...))

PPS: In the 1st part, Gibson's dried body was exploited in every possible way, showing him naked or topless. And in the 4th part, Gibson is dressed all the time, but they began to undress Glover, who is 10 years older than Gibson and who looked great for his 52 years at that time! Apparently, they decided to expand the racial and age audience ... ;))))

@im8399984: I add my vote for Agents of SHIELD. The coolest series I'm watching right now. Just keep in mind that I need a friendly team of heroes, moral principles and action, Lucifer is a Mars chocolate bar for me at best (which I can safely do without), and Agents are still at least pizza (I will not compare seriki with healthy food, so be it). I can't watch any Jessica Jones at all, even for the sake of David Tennant, I had to give up Happy too - I'm sick of blackie, like vodka, even the smell.

And I ask you very much, never put Gibson and DiCaprio and Pitt and Jolie in the same basket, especially the trash. Gibson is a good actor and a non-trivial creator, DiCaprio is a very strong actor who became a victim of his pretty face and romantic cliche, I did not digest him until I watched a teenage work, I do not remember the name, where the talent became obvious. Well, I won't say anything good about the second guys, they go out on the outside, in my opinion, although I don't rule out that I don't know them well yet either (I didn't want to find out).

Lethal weapon for reference about my tastes, I watched a couple of episodes and for me the white GG (I don't remember the name) is too sloppy + I've been having such a constant breakdown lately (the same Cullen in NCIS LA, which I watch out of boredom in a set of my favorite original NCIS, also got it, although it was a third not so self-destructive, and he was slightly settled down by season 7). The Negro is funny, but I can live without fun, but without the pathos of agents - like others without bread (which I almost do not eat) =))

@im8399984: About Hollywood and actors. The first Hugh Jackman movie I saw, Van Helsing, I thought it was a log. Other Hollywood movies are also so-so. But when I watched an early Australian film (there is a good acting school there, although England is better and Hollywood has enough stars from both places - the same Christian Bale at least), I realized that this is a limitation of the film / genre/ style / director, and their blockbusters recklessly sin that there is stupidly nothing to play Well, or it's just not accepted. As much as Bale is great in other more intelligent films, Batman didn't come to me at all. However, I think we can judge that there is strength and charisma in an actor, others there do not stand out as stars, but in order to understand their real price, you need to look at not the highest-grossing.

@Kostyurik: Thank you for recommending the "Shield Agents"! The impression was very good 👍

As you said, in the 1st season in the 16th-17th episodes there was a great twist in the spirit of "Quantico" and "Strike Back", when you no longer understand who is a friend and who is an enemy.

A great cast that you empathize with, a lot of powerful scenes of fights and shootouts, explosions, very decent special effects. At least, that was the case until season 5: the blue make-up of aliens and half a season shot in the interiors of the "space station" spoiled the impression...

I was very pleased with the scope of the topics that the screenwriters use: here you have double agents, and terrorism with biological weapons, and mutant people, and aliens, and travel to other planets, and zombie clones, and magic, and racing.

I especially liked the camerawork in season 4 (about the Ghost Rider), very beautifully shot, a gorgeous burning skull (that would be a face for Lucifer ...).

@im8399984: As for the make-up of aliens, I find the appearance of Kasius and Sinara very cool, even apart from the fact that they are characters from one of my favorite TV series. I saw pictures of these two actors without makeup - I was very impressed. If you don't know that they are playing Kasius and Sinara, you will never guess. Well, the interiors of the space station work to create the right atmosphere. As part of my humble opinion, I can add that so far, of the released episodes of the fifth season, I liked the cosmic first half more, and not the two episodes that take place after the heroes return back.
Although the much-respected @alavitka also rolled a barrel at one time on the "cheap" scenery of space episodes, so maybe I don't notice the truth because of my adoration for the series.

@Kostyurik: Nah, I'm not such a maniac :))) I watched the first and last few episodes of each season (some were double episodes). Plus, in each episode, "In previous episodes..." starts at the beginning. This is quite enough to understand the general outline and dynamics (without the details chewed up throughout the season).

I also saw many familiar actors who are currently starring in various TV series (Kristin Adams from Black Lightning, Patton Oswalt from A.P. Bio, Luke Mitchell from People of the Future and Blind Spot, etc.)

Against the background of other similar series that I have seen (Gifted, Killjoys, the same Lightning and People of the Future) The SHIELD looks incomparably better!

As much as I loved the Lucifer series before, but I admit, after all the fights, explosions, government conspiracies and life-threatening dramas that the SHIELD is saturated with, the last episode of Lucifer (17th) with its snot and indecisive actions of the heroes looked sooooo bland and dreary :(((((((((

@im8399984: IMHO it's not enough to watch the beginning and end of the season in Agents, you missed half of the "these are the turns" (the feeling itself), almost every episode is exciting there, especially in season 3-4, plus for half of the 4th in general, a separate arch of Hydra Agents forces you to put a cushion under your jaw, well, now it's late to rush.

"Lucifer" is expertly shot, rich in music and jokes, but in reality very poor in events, so I have it in the supporting roles. Moreover, the screenwriters, as noted by dear Oliverell22, treat us, the audience, somewhat mockingly, and I have noticed for a long time.

@Kostyurik, now others have picked up my barrel ;) Well, really, the arch is new, but the location is essentially the same, only 2 episodes on the street (I don't think the last one, there are only episodes)...

@Slimov: What's the nonsense? For example, in season 1, Chloe used a type of "alignment" to "go back in time" in the Palmetto Street case. She used Luci (he was in the role of the mafia leader) and Dan (he was in the role of Malcolm) for this, and, in fact, thanks to this, she solved the case, seeing it from a new angle (literally).

About regression therapy - "Regression comes from the Latin word regressio — to return and is a process by which a person returns to previously passed stages, states, forms and ways of functioning through hypnosis and other methods."

Alternatively, Linda can work with Pierce (using hypnosis or something else) to bring him back to the moment of either killing his brother, or applying a mark to find the right clues on how to remove the curse. Or just to relieve Pierce's guilt, which has been tormenting him all these years, and perhaps does not let him die.

For Pierce, eternal life is his own hell. And, as we remember, it is the feeling of guilt that prevents sinners from ending their torment and leaving their own hell (a series about a scientist and a car explosion, a series about Lucie's return to hell).

And of course he would have gone back in time and saved the priest he had befriended and played the piano with.

Frankly a weak series. Shifting the focus to an unnecessary love triangle, Daniel, Charlotte and Ella were eliminated from the series, although I was glad to see more Maze and Linda, but I want to see them separately from this triangle. I hope they will never return to this topic again, no one needs it and it looks sooo strained.
Just like all this chemistry between Chloe and Lucie. After the chemistry that Chloe had with Cain, chemistry with Lucie causes sincere facepalm. They are not "chemical", that's all.
Time travel would be interesting to watch, but I hope, but there won't be such a terrible CGI anymore, you can't mess around like that!

The episode plunged into some kind of nostalgic past in many moments.

Firstly, a couple of actors familiar from other projects - Austin Basis (JT from "Beauty and the Beast") and Julie Gonzalo (Madison from the episode "Castle" 2x22)
Secondly, the song "Only You", about which I already unsubscribed above.

Well, in general, the whole story with the writer in the creative block, the meeting of graduates, the love triangle also seems wildly familiar. I experienced deja vu several times, as if I had already seen it once five years ago.

Such a forced breakup came out, and the love triangle as a whole. When Aminadil squeezed out "It looks like that" (and NewStudio was generally translated as "Probably") I was ready to laugh. Well, so spineless and humble.

An interesting episode came out, I like it when Lucius loses his temper. And as for going back to the past, I don't think it will be in the literal sense.

So when they started the investigation, they didn't bother to check the traffic cameras right away to find out who came to the victim before her murder? And did you check them only at the very end, having gone through all the other crazy options before that? Logic, au

@Milain: To be honest, I don't even delve into the essence of investigations anymore. The first witness interviewed always turns out to be the killer, and before that they sort out about three more seemingly obvious suspects, so that in the end someone gets an idea. Even there is no intrigue anymore, when it turns out that on the eve of the murder someone threatened the victim - it is 100% clear that this person is not a murderer. Did someone have a long-standing score with the victim, and he came to town that same evening? 100% not a killer.
By God, it would be more interesting to watch if the killer was immediately shown, and then our trackers gradually found him.

Fortunately, this series is not only about investigations, so they can be safely pushed into the background)

@Milain: for some reason, I remembered the TV series from my childhood "Commissioner Rex", where, too, in each episode, the doggie always figured out and caught the criminal) But there the criminal was shown immediately, and somehow it was more interesting to watch how he hides, how the doggie and the police are sometimes a step away from catching him, but still something gets in the way, and so on.
It is unclear why in most modern detective series they make a kind of intrigue about the identity of the killer in order to make a "super mega unexpected" twist at the end, which ceases to surprise after 4-5 episodes.
The exception to the ones I've reviewed is "How to get away with murder", there are really steep and unexpected turns, although this is not a straight classic detective story. But the creators of the rest of the series would like to learn from them))

Of the whole series, I just liked the line of Maze, Linda and Amenadiel.
When Lucifer made a startling discovery for the thousandth time, completely perverting Chloe's advice, I wanted to scream. How long can I use this technique? Will he never get smarter?

Tom Ellis, I'm yours forever. What a thoughtful handsome guy he is, he can't get off the screen *_* Chloe is an enthusiastic fan just lovely, I love when she changes her serious face to those burning eyes.
Aminadil is very nice with the kids, and so is Trixie in general. But the best partner for the baby is, of course, Maze, the paws on the couch are like that. The line with the triangle will be pulled for a long time, obviously, but I'm glad that they are at least revealing it. In fact, it's a difficult situation: I kind of understand Maze, she's mad that she was lied to, she's jealous and going crazy (all her denial is too ostentatious), but on the other hand, Aminadil is not her property, and she and Linda are free people, they can do what they want, and they don't have to to report to her. Another thing is that it is obvious that morally it is difficult for such a good person as Linda to do this, even if she is attracted to this man with all her strength. And I also don't like that Amin did not defend the woman to whom he sang such praises in private, since he is ready for anything, he should not be afraid to shut up even a demon. The demon is just more sorry anyway, she ran away in tears like that, her heart aches for her...
These stomping Lucifer's feet, if only against her father, at the same time only a desperate attempt by an unloved child to attract attention, but it was always clear. It's just that it seems to be funny, but on the other hand, it's already boring. And although I am very hooked by what a gift he gave Chloe, and oh Gods, how he looked at her - they touch, they touch my soul, I already shook off the schipper raincoat, how embarrassed she was, it's so wonderful to give a lost graduation, but damn you, why Is he twisting her words over and over again? When will it end? Or will you always lead this line that Luci seems to understand human nature, but still does not, because he is a super being?...

Is it just me, or are they trying to make a normal character out of Decker? Everyone in the series has some hobbies, friends, hangouts, except Chloe and finally, finally, she at least stuck to the book) I keep trying to see something in her except, child, work, ex-husband and perfect eyebrows.

A great series, like all the others. Even when the plot of an episode fails, the actors never disappoint. Everyone plays amazing.

The ending is sweet)
I feel sorry for Maze... It seems to me that she is not so much jealous of Amin as she feels lonely. Lucie has Chloe, Amin has Linda, Dan has Charlotte. And she has no one.

Oh, the idea of the book is just great)) The relationship between Maze, Aminadiel and Linda is just heartbreaking... We understand each character, they grow up before our eyes, if I may say so) The acting is simply amazing! I really want to put more emphasis on Lucie and Chloe's relationship, but Lucie needs to learn so much about all the events that are happening... As soon as you come to some kind of solution, everything becomes even more confusing) Ella and Trixie are just bunnies, miiiilooooaaaa))

Am I having glitches or is Linda Amenadiel saying something like, "We can't be together" for the third time?.. Well, don't be. Or be. This smearing of snot on the plot causes only irritation

I like it when their roles change. It's somehow more interesting, brighter. I even like it when they swear, argue, and show dissatisfaction in some ways. Lucifer's reaction in such situations is especially invaluable.

A beautiful scene at the end. I think the second one is the most memorable at the moment. I would not refuse such a gift myself. It's familiar.

And how tired I am of Lucifer's obsession with my father. The triangle is also boring.
