It seems to be interesting because of the change in the narrative, but it would be better to stick to the concept of the first season and the drama, where the past was shown first, and then the present. So everything would look consistent and delicious, and not now, when you watch the events of the present and regret that the events of the past do not show, but there are so many interesting things there, such a path of becoming heroes is shown..

Somehow, Zixun was inexplicably introduced and told a set of facts about how he feuded with Elder Yilin, how Ah Li defended Wei Ying, then about the curse of Zixun. We rolled along this line like a conveyor belt, and I'm sure no one understood anything. Neither who is Zixun, nor where did he come from at all.

And the most funny thing is that there are two of them: zixun and zixuan. They are brothers, they wanted to marry one of them to Wuxian's sister. But the curse of ulcers was just sent to the second one. The second Wuxian did not even know what was causing him to burn.

If at the end of the first season a small change in the plot could be justified by an action more impressive than in the original story at that moment with the meeting of Wuxian and Tsch with Wanji, then I condemn the ditching of this series and the random narration of canonical facts - which is very likely almost impossible to understand without reading the novel - from the bottom of my heart:(
