I like the scale of the battles. It seems that it looks like a real one.

I did not understand why it was necessary to deceive the Vikings, then get angry that my brother was killed and still give the gold. And it was incomprehensible not to put up guards at night.

@osD: the episodes of this series are just as tiny as possible, and the plot is galloping at a crazy speed. So almost 50% of the content has to be thought out by yourself: and the reasons for the nobility of the Vikings, who eventually decided to sail away after receiving a donation; the reasons for the recklessness of the Vikings, who decided to feast in enemy palaces, and so on. All this is behind the scenes, but nevertheless, I have no problems with it, because the overall picture creates a very positive impression.

It seems that you should be on the side of the King of England, because it was to him that the barbarians came to the lands to ruin them, but.... no

Standing next to an enemy camp and not putting guards on at night? It's idiotic. Lord Athelwulf is just a great warrior, yes. He prayed while his warriors were being killed.

To agree to a ransom -> set your own conditions -> break the proposed deal -> get the corpse of your brother -> still say goodbye to gold (note, the barbarians even kept their word and did not stroll through the nearest villages - nice, unthinking people!) -> I declare a vendetta against you, Ragnar Lobrok!
No, well, cho. Everything is logical, King Ella, everything is correct. *rukalizo*

@Morri: To come to a foreign land -> To rob and kill -> To demand a ransom for this hop-stop to stop for a while (not forever, of course) -> Having received a ton of looted gold, to leave WITHOUT WALKING THROUGH THE NEAREST VILLAGES -> Bravo! You are amazing! What nobility, the sympathy of the audience is guaranteed.
Everything is logical, everything is correct *hand*

Ну про тактику короля вообще промолчу, но.. Какого ты тут хвалился змейки своими и даже не додумался забить ими сундуки, а отправил пустые?!!
Но как уже и было сказано ранее- вроде надо быть за англичан, а вот нет вам xD

Hmm, everyone is impressed by the fighting scenes and the behavior of the king, but no one paid attention to the loss of the child... It seems to me that there is some connection between the Sigi-maid and this event...
and yes, Floki! It's not as simple as it seems at first glance.

all their lives in the war, from there it follows that they are three times stronger than the British

have the British heard anything about sentries at all? enemies so easily and simply penetrated into the territory of their camp, no one moved an ear?
the decisive battle also raises many questions. it is unlikely that a bunch of barbarians could resist cavalry in chain mail.
in the place of the king, it would be more logical to finish off the surviving Vikings, rather than give up the gold, at a time when they had already killed their brother.
there are a lot of illogicalities either among the British, or among the screenwriters

And I admire Ragnar's wife Lagertha. The actress looks great both in the role of a gentle mother, and in the role of a passionate wife, and in the role of a warrior who can put any man, and in the role of a domineering jarl's wife. It is a pity for the unborn son, it is quite possible that Sigi is involved in this.

When I saw Lagertha and her miscarriage, I thought that it looked like Odin was still angry, but he did not direct his anger directly.
I feel sorry for her, of course.
