After the masterpiece "Rehearsal", this is two steps back for Fielder. Everything is somehow superficial, strained and awkward, and in some places even went.

An interesting idea, a great soundtrack, camerawork and a good combination of comedy and drama. Emma shines! Camerawork especially stands out. Voyeuristic shots really cause discomfort.

Emma's amazing smile will make any project bright. The plot is still stuffy, although a couple of episodes from the series are very funny.

So far, only Emma has come to me. It's kind of hard. Some kind of blurry plot. After the story with the penis, it became more fun, but not for long) In general, it is still debatable. We need a couple more episodes to decide definitively

Момент, где Филдер описывает отца и девочек в ночлежке просто огонь, очень тонко подмечена абсурдность ситуации: как ему неудобно сказать самую очевидную примету этих людей - что они чернокожие.
А в целом по ходу сериал будет очень тяжёлосмотрибельным. Лёгкими мазками вырисовывается сатира на мелочность, неискренность, отчуждённость, тотальный эгоизм, прикрытый якобы благими намерениями, и общую идиотию в общественной современной американской жизни. Не совсем для нас сериал, думаю, многих нюансов просто даже не заметим.
