PS I didn't recognize Christian Horner's wife right away, even though I read the news that she played here :D
67 minute of the movie, the bad guy and his henchmen leave on Koenigsegg Gemera
The estuary kept me in suspense all the time.
In places, of course, you can see the chromakey, but it's excusable.
The plot is simple, but the races themselves are just top!
In general, I liked it, it's a pity I watched it not on the big screen, but at home.
There is a similar movie, but from China = "Fast and Furious. Chinese Drift (2021)" (just by the way, the voice acting is nice there, at least because of the "commentator" in the voice acting, it was very cool to hear him).
Yes, it's just incomparably different scales in many senses, there's just something that went to me in the Chinese version and that was closer to me, but of course Gran Turismo went more.
Gran Turismo managed to keep me on my toes 100% (in racing), just like in the movie "Ford vs. Ferrari", but here it's even more. That's because I've been playing racing since I was a kid, and it was interesting for me to watch and imagine that I had reached this level of driving, and how I would experiment. I can say with confidence that in a real race I would refuse to participate with 99% probability if I knew what he was in the game. Since it is possible to overcome yourself and get used to driving such powerful machines in the game (it is possible to manage it qualitatively), but in reality, oh, I would not see options where I could force myself to do this (with my mindset and provided the health is suitable for this).
It is difficult to call the film a good one, largely because of the high standards set by other films about racing that have been released in recent years, you all know them. Blomkamp is not up to them in any aspect.
Here, for example, overtaking in mono-class, which look like passing by rivals with a huge difference in speed, and intentional collisions / contacts that do not lead to fines and disqualifications, and magic trajectories known only to sim racers, but for which you need to ask permission from engineers... An extreme race like in Le Mans, and in the frame of the Hungaroring, with a straight Mulsan drawn in CGI. The events of the race finish are generally made up.
Does not pull on a decent sample of the genre, in general.
The first hour I thought there would be no plot - the second hour I was impressed.
they ride on a Hung, and it is written that in Britain)
Archie and David top tandem. Like Bale and Damon in Ford versus Ferrari.
and the film is fire 🔥
It didn't get boring at all. The whole movie is in one go.
I'm absolutely thrilled. I will definitely recommend it to others for viewing.
But on the other hand, who follows the plot in racing movies at all? And the part with the races themselves is quite well done. Especially the transitions from the computer to the real part, the special effects are not bad, and the sensations from the machines, as for me, are transmitted well. In general, it's spectacular, but without a special plot.
