Shaun of the Dead (2004)

My favorite zombie-themed movie. I've seen him many times already. Last but not least, this is due to Edgar Wright (I really like how he shoots) and a couple of friends Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

Working with sound in Edgar Wright's films is always something on a completely different level. The film was made with fire in its eyes, it is felt in every perfectly calibrated frame.

"A zombie named Sean" is a cult movie that doesn't exactly go over my head. I'm not saying that the movie is shit, but I can't say that the movie is great either. As far as I'm concerned, the movie is a little outdated. Some jokes are unfunny, others are absurd, and others are really funny. You know, even though I like the duet of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, but here it's kind of weak, sad, at least in the beginning and in the middle. That moment right before the end came right to me. It was interesting to watch, and the jokes were funny. But the end is a little weak, even though I didn't expect it. Well, I don't know, maybe I didn't like the movie because it was outdated. This movie is a witty parody of the zombie genre. When I started watching, I thought it would be really funny, but in fact I had to sit for half a movie and then just laugh. I hope they won't blame me for this review. Well, that's my personal opinion, and I'm not hiding it. I recognize his cult status, but he didn't really get to me. I almost forgot, the pros are the quality of the grimm and the atmosphere and a couple of funny jokes towards the end, the cons are the film's obsolescence, unfunny jokes, tediousness, dullness, minor characters, although they add comicality, but it feels like they don't really need them here, except to be gnawed by a zombie.
