Everything is great in the movie! The atmosphere, the acting, the colors, the list is endless.

It is absolutely unclear why a happy ending was added to such a gloomy house. A neck wound is pretty serious, and Travis' death would be a fitting end. The last scene is generally similar to a fantasy or a dream of a comatose person.

@nonaems: I'm not sure if this is a happy ending.
The ending can be interpreted in different ways, it is
quite possible that a letter from Iris's parents was written by Travis himself.
That's why he gives Batsy a ride at the end with a psychopathic smile..
Well, everyone should also be given a chance to fix it😬

@nonaems: 1. I hate sad or open endings, so I was glad of this outcome
2. According to one version, his smile at the end means that he is the same psycho and sooner or later he will repeat the action
3. According to another version, the ending is his dying /comatose imagination

I was in my 30th year. I finally touched the masterpiece of cinema, Martin Scorsese himself, and ... by no means, I did not get into this picture. I didn't know anything about her at all, I didn't read the synopsis, I didn't watch the trailers, I just had 0 expectations, I watch old movies without any prejudices and adjustments for time, and yet.. It didn't catch on. The plot sags, the pace of the narrative is lost, the music is annoying, but DeNiro is handsome. And I was also surprised when I saw the name Jodie Foster in the credits. I kept looking and thinking, who does this Iris remind me of?

I bet my honest 3⭐ / 5⭐

I know this movie may not be for everyone, but what a thrill it is! This is a real movie, not a crazy attraction from Action for the sake of action. I'm thrilled!

I really liked this movie. He made a huge impression on me thanks to the excellent visual design, great acting and a deep idea. This film will be interesting to those who share its theme.

The film is not about a taxi driver, but about how loneliness and despair can turn a person into a monster.

The mournful orchestral soundtrack, dark streets, delusional monologues in front of the mirror — all this creates an atmosphere of hopelessness.

I'm not sure if I'm thrilled with the film, but it was nice to see the classics of world cinema.

Even though I hardly understood this movie, or didn't understand it at all, I probably should have watched it carefully from sobriety, and not under a glass of wine, oh, I feel a word of cons under my comment)) In fact, as I understood it, the film is not for everyone, not for a wide audience, not for relaxation, which is why I missed it at the time. Right now I decided to catch up on this case and somehow it all happened without pleasure, so I gave a low rating.
