After watching it, there was a strong feeling that it was some kind of very protracted social advertising from the noughties, when the emphasis was on maximum naturalism in order to shock an unprepared viewer. Did Clark manage to shock me? Not really. Yes, the pseudo-documentary shooting makes it easier to believe what is happening, but everything else makes it clear that the director set out primarily to shock the audience with a pretentious exaggerated picture of the teenage world of the 90s, when children had only sex, drugs and alcohol in their heads, blood and around them. And maybe it was there and then, in fact, but by eliminating any hints of something positive from the narrative, leaving only dirt, Larry King killed any rudiments of empathy for the characters, turning the film into a harsh, but protracted and artificial social advertisement with a simple message: "Don't drink.", don't smoke, protect yourself. But even this is not the main problem of my indifference to what was shown, but that there is simply no one to empathize with. None of the characters shown is a person, they can only be described by enumerating their preferences in sex and / or substances, which means they are only tools of the director here to promote his own above-mentioned message, Maybe the film used to be something outstanding, but now it is not perceived in any other way, although it is great for propaganda purposes.

It's a pity that they didn't show how she told them. And did she tell me!? The movie is vile in its plot. And nasty, wild, empty-headed teenagers. Everything is shown in a very repulsive way. You don't feel sorry for the characters at all, that's for sure. What we fought for, we ran into. Someone wrote on the Internet that this film should be shown to teenagers at school. And the most adequate one surfaced for such comments. And the bottom line was that this movie didn't help the kids of the 90s, and it won't help the kids of today. I totally agree. It's just that someone can think straight, and someone can't. And I also agree with the previous comment that it is stretched. In general, the whole essence of the plot can fit into 30 minutes.

It's unclear at what age to watch this movie.. as an adult, everything is very clear, but not interesting. It's very interesting in adolescence, but nothing is clear.

@MoonRine: I watched it in my teens with several classmates and we weren't allowed yet, we were 18+.
It was generally uninteresting, creepy, disgusting, disgusting… I wasn't holding hands with the boy then, but I realized that all men are assholes when I don't remember the name after the first time I infected my partner.
It became the best prevention of unprotected sex and conscious protection, as well as Caleb's Daughters (TV series 1990) Les filles de Caleb/Emily
https://myshows.me/view/57002 k-y looked at it at about the same time.

Apparently, something is wrong with me, but I didn't really notice that the film is stretched quite in the spirit of any film in such genres about dirt, etc., again, how many films and TV series I watch, well, actually, it doesn't fundamentally differ in this respect from such a movie, is it capable of he definitely has to teach someone something, yes, it's clear that not most, but a couple of people will definitely think about it.
