How well the actors play. How the plot holds. It's just a great job.
Robert de Niro is a very talented actor, he's great everywhere, but in this role he's just gorgeous. He plays it off with every look, gesture, and gait.
Sharon Stone is just a miracle, what a beauty. And what a great dramatic actress she is in this movie.
Joe Pesci, so different in all the movies, in Lethal Weapon he made you laugh until you couldn't stand it, but here he scares the hell out of you with just one look. A real Italian mafia boss, a real gangster, frighteningly realistic.
