The film is highly overrated, don't waste your time on it. Better watch the amazing first season of the TV series of the same name.

The film is not overrated. It's a great crime drama, just not seasoned with comedy like season 1 of the series, however, it doesn't make the movie any worse. It's a GOOD CRIME DRAMA, that's all.

A great movie that gave us an equally great series, the events of which take place in the same world as the film.

Deservedly one of the best films of the Coen Brothers. And much darker and tougher than the TV series of the same name, where the emphasis is more on black humor. The series, of course, is also no less cool

I was watching from behind Buscemi. The movie is just good. If you look without high expectations, then everything is fine. I didn't know that he had so many regalia (I only looked at it when the movie ended) and I didn't expect something incredible.

The movie looks easy, quite interesting, sometimes causes a smile (mainly by the manner of conversation of the characters, if you watch it in the original), there are curious characters in it. But I didn't feel any delight from him. I didn't understand the reason for the cult either. Tarantino and Richie shot in a similar genre, many of their early films impressed me much more. The only thing that hooked me about the Cohens was the fate of his wife, and other innocent victims. In my understanding, it's either a drama, or giggles and giggles with the massacre of bandits by bandits, or to take it off so that all this is not taken seriously. Otherwise, an unpleasant aftertaste remained...

It's a good movie. Probably, if there were no TV series of the same name at the moment, it would not be compared with it and the rating would be much higher than just "good", but what is, that is. Anyway, the movie is not bad, it's easy to watch and there's no feeling that you're wasting your time.
However, it seemed that all the characters, except Marge, were represented by very fools who were not able to think normally (especially her husband and partner), and they were not fully disclosed, only superficially, which is why the motives and actions of some characters are not entirely clear.
