To be honest, so-so, but for once it's okay.

The visual is not bad, yes, but the events of the film are too fleeting, everything is too simple for them, and the three laws of robotics in this universe seem to have been canceled.

A standard pop-corny movie, so that there is something to go to on the weekend.

@strabby: as for the three laws of robotics, at the moment there is a concept that the creation of a full-fledged AI implies their abolition. It is found in many books and films. It is difficult to describe all the nuances for a very long time, but many people see the development of machine intelligence this way. By and large, the whole point there is freedom of will and its acquisition by machines in one way or another.

@strabby: The military needs AI to control swarms of drones with smart projectiles, missiles and IDs right now. The law do not kill is definitely not relevant right now

What a visual, what ideas (a barrel-a robot bomb, a huge ship that stupidly drops nukes, a revival for 30 seconds), but what a basic plot for such a semi-arthouse.
- "AI is not alive! This is us alive! "
- "Damn, but I met one and he's like a living joke"
- "And wait, so they are really alive, and my state is staging a genocide, I will give my life for them"
Well, tell me is this an Avatar or a Creator? I wanted more of something Blade Runner shorter.

Yes, the plot fell short. What was there to throw about the fact that the child will be even stronger in the future?

@Qtilla: imho, at this moment it was not about force specifically at all. And that Alfie is growing and developing, gaining strength and skills - like "oooh, he's just like a man!" with a note of admiration and fear from this. I got this impression from the conversation, I watched it in the original

There is a lot of criticism everywhere about the film, but for me it's a pretty good adaptation of the Blade Runner. Simplified and lightened, of course, but I remember that the mass audience not so long ago complained too much about excessive clogging with ideas and philosophizing already in Blade Runner 2049, and there is a suspicion that this is what pushed the creators of this film to simplicity. It is fashionable now from edge to edge: either a complication, like the same Nolan, or a primitive like here. Otherwise, the film is good, especially visually and constructively. Music too, I already put a plus sign after Fly me to the moon in the first minutes😅

@Hidji: In what place is the Blade Runner here?! BR has a completely different atmosphere of noir cyberpunk and bioengineered replicants with a limited life span (and not everyone even realizes that they are not ordinary people, and when they realize, they rightly hate the creator for a fake and short life). The Creator has typical robots, just with normal intelligence, nothing but design does not stand out. The conflict is also primitively stupid: Americans, as usual, impose their own rules in foreign countries if they don't like something or someone. 🤷‍♂️

@alexander444: it's a base, damn it). The employee is in a relationship with his target, robots that behave like humans, there is no pregnancy, but there is a new android that can grow and develop according to the human model, etc. I didn't say it was cyberpunk noir. The purely plot lines are the same. Like "Pocahontas " and "Avatar " - completely different, but a clear and absolutely obvious repetition of the storyline. This was discussed even before the release of the film.

He screamed out loud when tanks the size of a stadium quietly approached the guarded AI base. Well, the absence of any air defense systems from the AI directly hits the eyes.

It seems like a good idea, but the face was very red from the facepalms

Well, I don't know, quite to myself. The sound and visual are incomparable. The plot is quite acceptable, personally interested me from the first minutes. The only thing I didn't like was that the hero rethinks everything too sharply and not smoothly, like he just blew up robots, and then he strokes the cyborg and calms it down

An overly pretentious film with a rather secondary idea and implementation. The turn with the nuclear was guessed at the same moment when they said about it. Denzel's son plays very average. You can watch it, but I wanted something different from the trailers. After this film, for some reason, I wanted to go to review the Human Child.

@AD-Rock: I don't know what the commentator meant, but when he saw the news about the dropped bomb, it immediately flashed through his head:
"They will go to war for the sake of war, they will kill a bunch of peaceful people in the name of a one-sided ideology, and this is [Homer Simpson spilled coffee on the nuclear button]...but this is not beneficial for propaganda"
I wouldn't call it a turnaround. The plot and the denouement after the first quarter of the film were predictable, but the film did not try to be surprising.

@kaktussen: moreover, the Cyber Village is an order of magnitude more sincere in places than this pretentious craft, where the creator of intelligence is one person * facepalm* (the authors are not aware of the development process of anything at all and how many people participate in the development or research, this only rolls in comics).

I liked the movie. There is enough stupidity, but perhaps it is according to the plot that robots should be closer to humans. And that's why it's so stupid to look that they can be killed with one shot, and they can't bomb a nomad from below in any way and always run away.

But here they wanted to show US foreign policy more.

A bunch of blunders without a logical explanation.
Like for example

A very beautiful visual, something similar to the game Horizon zero down (purely external design of locations) the plot is of course banal, but it will go for once

Perhaps they will throw up minuses... But still... I expected more from the film, but I saw some kind of vague war with references to Vietnam... It is very strange that when Asians show their love for AI, they still look more like ragamuffins... Why support it if AI does not help to build a bright future... So for this support, you can also receive nukes... Well, this super station... Which obviously would not be allowed to be built by other countries of the world, since it would pose a threat to everyone except the United States.

Maybe the authors just wanted to show the US policy in all its glory and wrapped it in such a film that Western censorship missed it😅

The visual is good, but the plot is pumped up...

Logically, the movie is terrible.. But even I don't want to disassemble all the jambs of the script, for sure someone will do it for me. But as a spectacle, he's quite good! Robots are cool, there is enough action, drama has been delivered — cry! In the evening, relax purely, look at a beautiful picture, cry over the ending — that's the thing! Well, it's better not to pay attention to the numerous mistakes in logic, otherwise it won't come in!

What a stupid leftist job... Sorry for the harsh word. Everything in the film is bad except the visual. And all these stupid stamps? Well, what category of popcorn eaters is this designed for? Social justice warrior? And a disabled black man in the title role, and an Asian woman, and the oppressed, and a white cisgender villain. Yeah... about the fact that an AI robot cannot hit a target from 10 meters and shoots randomly... seriously? In general, a sturdy two out of ten.

I've prepared a far-fetched conclusion here. In reality, AI is developing and there is a lot of debate that because of this some specialties will become unclaimed, can we assume that this is the beginning of fashion for films about evil AI, as zombies, robots, romcoms, dystopias once were?

And the movie is so-so.

So, I wonder why the main role is played by an athlete, never an artist, whose main advantage is that he is the son of another artist with a famous surname? "Playing" is a strong word, portrays.
