Overview
Switched at Birth tells the story of two teenage girls who discover they were accidentally switched as newborns in the hospital. Bay Kennish grew up in a wealthy family with two parents and a brother, while Daphne Vasquez, who lost her hearing at an early age due to a case of meningitis, grew up with a single mother in a poor neighborhood. Things come to a dramatic head when both families meet and struggle to learn how to live together for the sake of the girls.

And it seems to me that this series cannot be evaluated on its own - all five years spent with this series and its characters cannot just stay away. Thank you to the creators for these shots from the first season - one of the most emotionally challenging, but at the same time so wonderful and beloved.
Thank them for this story. Thank you for teaching me to look at all people the same way, and for showing me the insignificance of physical differences. Thank you for creating the Kanish-Vasquez family, which has become dear to all viewers.
I really love this series. The events in it very often surprisingly corresponded to the periods of my life. And I could always find support and advice in him. Their reality has become part of my reality, and any mention of actors in other projects makes me proud of them.
All those characters who were in Mixed Up are forever in my memory, although I watched all the seasons only once at the time of release. All of them helped me overcome my fear of listening to English with accents. And more importantly, they showed how deep a person's inner world is, and how ambiguous his actions can be.
It's the most soulful series I've ever seen. There is no hint of entertainment content in it. This is the whole of life, with all its manifestations. And I am very sorry that he did not take root on television in Russia. Perhaps it's the name that gives a touch of "Let them talk" type programs, or perhaps it's the fact that people are not yet ready to look at the world around them without compromise and jokes.
And thanks again to the Confused Ones for everything.
And also to anyone who might have been able to read this comment. Thank you, whoever you are. You're awesome)
The main idea was voiced, for which I already want to applaud the scriptwriters - yes, the girl's "guilt" in this situation is in front of her, due to the fact that something in society poses a potential threat to her. She's lost control of situations that she definitely wouldn't want to be in her right mind. The girl does not agree if she is not in control of what is happening and is not able to say "stop". If she wakes up in the morning with a clear feeling that her body has been used, but she does not remember anything, she did not agree.
Two people take part in sexual intercourse. At least one of them, Tank, understood what was going on and believed that he had been given the green light and immediately took advantage of the opportunity. If he had taken care of her the way he wanted to convince everyone afterwards, he would not have taken this step. He had to stop because he saw that she wasn't okay, that something was wrong with Bay, that she wasn't herself. Then he could wait to hear the same words from a sober Bay, when she would be aware of every decision and everything would be solved in the situation with Emmett.
The public's attitude to such incidents has been well demonstrated. The "culture" of rape has not even been formed in Western society yet, let alone ours. So far, they are ready to see only isolated examples of rape out of dozens that are justified by society, and a stream of filth and hatred is poured out on girls - I am ashamed of this society.
