Hayley is the only character who has been treated completely unfairly. She's been through so much, really grown in all 4 seasons from a lone wolf to a strong woman who rallied vampires, werewolves and witches. And here's a murder.
How many times has she sacrificed herself for the Mikaelsons? Even in this episode, she sacrificed herself for Klaus and Hope [Elijah is partly to blame, apparently Hayley realized that she had lost him forever]. Why can't you come up with a normal ending for her? Why kill her at all? I have an insane amount of questions for the screenwriters. But I really hope that Hope will bring Hayley back to life, although the funeral in the next episode ruins all my hopes.
Again, the questions are: if they originally decided to kill Hayley, what was the point of Declan? It was easy to do without him, he does not affect the plot. Why couldn't Hayley take Hope's shackles off so she could cast some kind of spell that would hide the sun? In general, I am sad. I only watched the Ancients for the sake of Hayley's storyline. And now it's been so mercilessly leaked.
