Probably, many are not aware, and perhaps many already know, but I did not find any mentions in the comments to the first series. Marvel gradually and smoothly introduces new characters, the Falcon and the Winter Soldier are no exception. In the first series, the character of Joaquin Torres was shown, who in the future may become a new Falcon or his successor. In the comics, this character acquired his abilities due to the fact that against his will he became a participant in the experiment of the mad scientist Karl Malus, who put a series of experiments on him that genetically crossed him with a bird. So, Joaquin got real wings, and the nickname "Falcon" was given to him by Sam himself. Probably, his canonical comic book story can endure changes within the MCU, but it is unlikely that Torres was introduced into the MCU just like that. The character is very interesting, and the actor looks very organic in the series.
