Time Out has compiled a list of the most scandalous movies — offensive, disturbing, and provoking in equal measure. We tell you about the first seven films on the list.
The film is as vile and senseless as possible in its viciousness. According to all the top banned films, enthusiastic reviews from "art connoisseurs" on the Internet and according to the description, I expected something else. Something cruel and immoral, something attractive in its depravity and taboo. To demonstrate absolutely cynical and perverted people who feel the approaching end and revel in the last days of their absolute power. To the drama and heartbreaking story of random victims trying to survive, preserving their human appearance and their sanity. Instead, I got a pile of shit on a platter (literally), which the filmmakers fed both their characters and their audience. So hold your nose and chew. Neither eroticism (the attractiveness of the naked bodies of actresses does not pull out, because the accents are placed on another, and the abundance of members, decrepit assholes and shit knock off all their charm), nor drama, nor morality, nor black humor in the end. I can't believe in heroes. Both the main villains and their servants are all equally enthusiastic about frying representatives of both sexes and of all ages, banging in the ass and mouth, drinking urine, eating shit, taking baths in shit (shit is generally a fixed idea here, if you haven't figured it out yet), torturing and killing. It's not just the staff following the orders of a couple of psychopaths who have gone — they're all enjoying what's happening, and it's very doubtful that in real life so many people with similar tastes would gather in one place. I can't believe in the "victims" either: with a couple of exceptions, they don't try to escape, attack their tormentors or get drunk, but they happily knock on each other and humbly wait for the denouement with torture, mutilation and executions (which, by the way, turned out to be quite unintelligible and were filmed without details, unlike the scenes with acts of coprophilia). The victims are also ready for anything, they are not sick of disgust, and some people participate in these amusements with undisguised joy. The film does not have a narrative as such and its development — only a breakdown into acts with a set of vile scenes replacing each other. Here is the introduction, where the tormentors select boys and girls, simultaneously explaining the local rules. Here is the first act, where they fry in the ass and jerk off. Here's the second one, where everyone is happily eating shit. Here's the third one where they kill. And that's it. No depth, no intrigue. And there is no satisfaction with drinking all the maniacs at the end, either, there is no finale, as well as the fate of most of the actors is not known (but not that it was interesting). I have often heard that the Serbian Film is the most disgusting film in existence, but it is very far from the 120 Days of Sodom. And if there was some kind of plot, and intrigue, and twists, and a pinch of black humor, then there is absolutely nothing here - this trash does not hide any plot or artistic value in itself. As the hero of another "great" movie said: "Brother, I brought you something to eat!"
@Amiko_Novich: well, shit is not a fix idea, they just called such a fetishist to be a storyteller. well, sodomy and coprophagia are violations of the laws of nature and divine laws, which means that by specifically committing these actions, they put themselves on the same level as the creator. and everything is clear with the finale: in the last scenes, the sound of exploding shells and aircraft becomes clearer and louder, which means that the allied forces are getting closer and closer, which means that we are witnessing, in general, the fall of the regime. There is a song about how winter retreats and spring awakens, and it is the judge who looks at everyone else last, thus judging them.
Well, it was just boring. the feeling that the author has decided to embody on the screen the book of the Marquis de Sade in the form in which it is available: first, the preparation, then the days are painted in quite detail, then there are fewer and fewer details, and then just a list at all. as a result, instead of an exploitation film showing torture, violence and lust, we get a pretty bad film adaptation of the book, where all the raisins were picked out, leaving only the skeleton. and the acting leaves much to be desired (well... 4 main characters are not bad, but the rest are just terrible). the only scene that I liked: how the duke helps a girl eat a piece of shit by giving her a silver spoon. You'll have to eat shit anyway, so at least eat with a silver spoon. relevant now, yes, probably, as always.
