If in the first part the main problem was still connected with the megalodon, then in the second the giant shark is just a background, although the film begins with an epic scene of megalodon devouring an unwary tyrannosaurus rex hunting small toothy amphibians about two meters in length. No, the battle with the shark was not avoided here either, as with these amphibians and giant kraken, who also got out of this abyss (sorry for the small spoiler), but still the main problem was clearly not in the monsters, which I did not like in the film. Of course, it's understandable, Jason needs to demonstrate his skills somewhere, but in the first part they did without it normally, and then, apparently, they decided to screw it up to the fullest! I don't want to say that it doesn't look good, but on the whole it seems far-fetched. They mixed everything into one pile and turned out to be such a vinaigrette, which seems to be dynamic and interesting and spectacular, but so stupid that it reduces the testicles! Action for the sake of action and don't care about internal logic , alas.. Yes, the Statham still looks amazing, the monsters are drawn qualitatively, but what a stupidity!.. Although you can still watch the movie, you can relax in the evening, under strong (or not so strong) alcoholic beverages, otherwise you may not be able to turn off the brain, which will deprive you of the lion's share of viewing pleasure!

It's strange to expect some kind of masterpiece, realism, etc. from another Statham movie. I wanted to see how this elusive bald guy fucks with a shark - I got it.
The first half of the film is boring and drawn out, but at the end it becomes more cheerful, well, normal.

How that girl Meing infuriated me😬 That's the first thing I think about when it comes to this movie. Statham is very good. The plot is average. I laughed with a breath-holding fiction "a la fish". It was quite spectacular, but I definitely won't review it)

The first half also seemed delayed, although everything seemed to be in the subject there, they decided to hit the horror straight a la Prometheus or something like that. although it may be too long for me personally, because I don't like this kind of thing. when they got out from under the water, everything had already gone cool and fun

I just couldn't enjoy the trash going on in the movie because of the actress playing a teenage girl. The character's actions are stupid to the point of outrage, the actress is incompetent and she looks 30 years old.

The first half of the movie is boring, the second half is stupid. It was a complete failure, although I really liked the first Meg.

That's what happens when the commercial success of a movie eats into the eyes of its creators. Apart from a couple of characters, this film has nothing to do with Meg 1. Sharks look bad and not in the sense that the graphics are on top. The film was shot with Jason Statham to feature Jason Statham.
